I am here too! I have only been around for a month but I already love you ladies!

I did not finish January as well as I had hoped, but I still lost 7 pounds in total. I will be happy to repeat that in February.

Diana, I read the "old" thread and I wanted to say you have done fantastic considering all the stress and everything that has been going on. You made smart choices even if you decided to eat something extra (to be honest, I was kind of relieved to see that you sometimes eat off the plan. I was wondering how can you manage to be always so on spot with your diet. I now admire you even more when I see you - very rarely - may eat off the plan, but you still eat reasonable food and no junk. Just extra protein. How smart, how disciplined, I need to follow your example!

Vixsin
your remark about M&Ms made me laugh. Seriously though, I see a wrong patter in how I ate last three days. First there was a cake, then the M&Ms and today irresistible sugar craving. Eating sugar makes me want to eat more sugar. If I fail one day and have a small candy or something sugary, I don't instantly gain weight, but it throws my diet off-balance for several days. This has to stop! Back to obligatory 2 squares of 85% cocoa chocolate. February will be a strong month, I can feel it!!!

My goals for January were:

lose 7 pounds - done
reduce the amount of honey sweetened tea I drink - I managed to reduce that to one cup in the morning. For the rest of day, I either do not put honey in my tea, or I drink Rooibos.
- walk 6k steps every day - that went quite well too, I actually walked 7 to 8k a day towards the end of the month. Except today, because of the cold.

Goals for February:
- eat no sweets appart from very small amount of high quality chocolate
- log my food and report it here EVERY day, not just on days when I did well
- 7k steps a day, at least.
- lose 7.7 pounds.

Wow, can't believe a month of 2017 is already gone.

I did really well with my January goals. Lost more weight than I was shooting for, and got in all my exercise. So go me! Now to keep it up for February...my goal is to hit onderland by the end of the month.

I think I may be coming down with something, though I'm trying my darndest to fight it off. I was so tired yesterday when I got home from work that I went ahead and took my preworkout (caffeine and other natural boosters) before I even took my shoes and coat off, hoping it would kick in by the time I got changed into workout clothes. I sat down on the couch for a few minutes, and promptly fell asleep, still in my coat and shoes. Not exactly what is supposed to happen when you take a preworkout, lol. So I just ended up napping and then going to bed, instead of doing any workout. Sometimes you can ignore your body's needs, and other times it just smacks you upside the head with a baseball bat! I'm all spazzy and tired at work today too, but I'm going to try and workout anyway. Aside from the tiredness I don't really feel bad, so it could be carbs, although it usually takes me longer for that to really start to effect me. Maybe I'll eat a can of green beans before I lift...get some ok carbs in me.

Hi everyone! Diana more than happy to be back for our brand new month! Ty WTG on getting past those urges yesterday! Hope your having a great new day and that you all are.

I have a lot to catch you all up on. The weekend went very well. One day, when DH was very busy drafting up some plans here at home, I went out for a wonderful walk in the nearby quaint town and along the river on the boardwalk. I had 2 h.b eggs late morning (sun) , stopped in the atomic café and had a yummy cappuccino and then around 3, stopped in a p joint and got 1 slice! I really had an inkling for it so went for it and it really satisfied me and kept me full! For dinner, I had a grilled chick. breast (thin ones). I found I dropped the next day! Been keeping an eye on my weight closely this past week as it is the last week of the month. It gave me energy I believe (the p) and maybe having something different gave my bod a nice little curveballs, idn.

We transferred the fitbit the other night too! I love it! I got in over 10k steps yesterday. I was beat last night but I have been very busy all week. I brought mom to an appt. today and then stopped in to visit with them a bit. Daddy is so much better! Mom is tired but doing very well! Soon they will be back to their regular routine and out and about taking their rides together, going for a bit to eat, etc. Just wanted to say thanks again to you all for helping me to get through that rough patch. It made a world of difference!

As for progress this month, I set a goal of 8 lbs. and am .6 away from it. I am going to see what tomorrow brings should I drop some fluid from yesterdays intake, you never know. Either way, all is good! The exercise went well this month with the exception of this past week or so I strayed form some of my usual workouts due to life demands etc. but I see such a big difference! Got my muscle tone back in my leg, seeing my body change and improved quality of life for sure! My goal for February is to stick with my exercise schedule and put a lot of focus on this and continue to eat OP and healthfully. Looking forward to our new month together here.

Zonie Congrats on reaching onderland! Glad you had beautiful weather yesterday and got that nice walk in. Carbs are known to retain some fluid as I understand it so I bet it goes back down. keep up the great work.

Miracle and Heidi Looking forward to getting to know you. Heidi congratulations on day 2, WTG! WIshing you a great day today as well. I totally understand and agree with what you said about needing to take care of our well being, etc. in order to be able to have focus and energy on our plans! Your not alone in the way you feel about doing or not doing personals, etc. Don't let that worry you, as Diana said , we don't always have the time to do that and that is ok. A lot of us just post our schedules to hold accountable, etc. We do what we can when we can, as Diana said. Congrats again, keep up the great work!

Pang Congrats on the 15 lb. loss and your new utensils! please let us know how you like your air fryer when you test it out. I recall one of the girls asking about those a while back, I want to say it was nancy, but not positive.

Nichols Pasta does the same thing to me! I retain fluids when I eat it (I have not as it bothers me now, very sensitive to it) but I bet it comes right off for you! Hope your having a great day.

flower yay on being down a lb. I hope all went well at the dentist today. Sending light and angels your way and did a prayer for your tooth! I bet your relieved to get the appt. over, I feel it's the apprehension sometimes beforehand that can be the worst! Your SIL sounds wonderful! As for my mom, yes she is doing great really! The drain is still in but should be out within a week. They tested it and it is not cancerous and we found out yesterday at the follow up that it was actually a hematoma that they took out. My mom is so happy to have that thing out and am I! smiling. I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing evening flower, hugs.

Ronja I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Take care of your cold and feel better. Hang in there, a cold can be trying (can for me). Great goals you have for February and Congratulations on that awesome loss!

Vixsen I am glad you slept well and feel better today! Congratulations on the great loss as well!

Teri yay on the scale going down for you and on your swimming I hope your pc is ok, I always say, "the joys of the pc" lol. I hate when they act up!

Monte amazing steps! Congratulations again on that wonderful loss and your exercise regiment, etc. Onto our new month we go!

Emily you're doing great. Congrats on all of your workouts and eating healthy andddd on your graduating in June! go girl!

A big hello to all of you and anyone I missed, I hope that you are all well and I will catch you all soon.

Today's menu-was gone from home and would not eat out, had some thin n'trim chicken for lunch and some cashews at 3! I am finding that if I eat at this time again, it really helps me a lot.....not too hungry at dinner and need less and also seems to be shooting my metabolism up. Have a wonderful evening ladies, it is so nice to catch up with you all and will catch up again soon!

Weekend Boater Welcome back. Great job on the steps! I'm glad to hear your parents are doing better.

nancylmrn Welcome back! I am interested in hearing about the air fryer, too. My DH loves fried foods. I rarely fry anything, so he has to get it out.

Hi Everyone!

So, I am 100% back on plan today. DH wanted to go to S & S cafeteria. Not sure if anyone is familiar with it. Anyways, they don't have large dinner salads. They have small garden/side salads, but they refuse to work with me on the bigger salad. So, I ordered regular food. I have a problem with the seasoning in their foods. I think they use msg and I have seen gains from eating in my calorie range. But I was back on plan today and feeling less stressed. But, I'm not sure how I will react from my dinner.

so did a little weird thing tonight, or maybe it is not and I am just a slow learner I re-read my food choices from December and noticed I ate breakfast, lunch and light dinner with a protein shake. I am going back to the regime for now but......tonight in my chocolate shake I added some peppermint extract. Wow I could make a day out of drinking that. Some ice to make it cold cold and the extract so yummy.

Diana as usual your food choices are awesome

Too all of you just WOW I take inspiration from you to keep going Thank you

Hi all
Diana, thank you for February thread. As always, thank you for so lovingly tending to this garden. Also, thank you for the prayers.

Will do personals tomorrow. I did read what everyone wrote. But I am on the iPad. Personals are too hard to do on this thing

Tuesday I made it through the dentist apt. She says she will not know what hast to happen until she drills and gets the filling out so she can see how deep the crack is. Will be either crown, or crown and root canal. Or ..... well. I will not talk about the third possibility. Then here is the upper tooth. She will deal with that later. Hope the tooth can be saved. I made an apt. For March 8th to do the first tooth. I hope it will be just a crown.

I left there and ate. Due to food porn, I will not get specific. But it was very good. And calorically extremely ugly. Wednesday will be diet day, of course.

I hope everyone has a great day <3
