Default Tuesday's Chick Chat

Good Morning Ladies

Starting us up, Im off to make a huge pot of coffee. "Leaded!"

Be back in a bit.

Ok, coffee is on, cream is in the fridge, and splenda is right next to the sugar bowl......help yourselves

Im not sure yet what Im going to do today. The rain messed up all our plans yesterday. Today was suppose to be a "glue the pressed flowers day" But everything is still very wet out there. So dd and I are going to have to come up with something else.

One of my customers is going to pop by the store today with material for cushions I told her I would make for her.

Other than that, there isnt much else new........I hope everyone has a great day!!

Robin

Quick good morning!

I'm off for another busy day with pre-Fair stuff. (I'm really trying to outrun the carb monster who caught up with me bigtime yesterday!) I will be so glad when Thursday's opening arrives and I can enjoy the Fair for the first time in 4 years! No more office incarceration from 8AM to 11PM which ends with a bank run with the cute cops. I intend to take a dog or two and do a lot of walking. Good crowd training for them and they will keep me from buying food as I can't stand those begging brown eyes.

Have a great and OP Tuesday.

Good Morning everyone

Glad you are taking the time to enjoy the Fair this time around Ruth, I know the doggies willloveall the looks and pets they will get

L, sorry you're still going through shdh stuff--how nice of him not to tell you he's changed his diet! NOT!

Sorry you can't do your flowers today with your dd Robin--that sounded like lots of fun

Off to the drop-in today as it's cold and rainy outside. The plants are lovingit but that's it. I would like some nice weather now please!

Am back on reinduction again as it seems I have let the carbs slide back in (how DO they do that?) and I've gained 5 pounds! EEKS! Yesterday was a perfect OP day and I'm heading for #2. Off to eat brekkie--eggs and bacon

Hi You Guys!!! Gosh it seems like a long time since I got to post---we had the the hectic weekend up to Chicago (made it through with flying colors eating wise) watched a LOT of basketball and made it to Woodfield Mall and then the village of Long Grove. Fun shopping!
Sunday night we had a MAJOR storm roll through at about midnight. Our house started shaking and a shelf fell off the guest bedroom wall. I got DS and DH up and we took the dog down to the basement. If was all done in about 15-20 minutes, but wow!!! We lost power for about 4 hours, but the rest of the town is STILL without power. When it got light out I couldn't believe my eyes. Our neighbor has one of those heavy duty wooden fort like swingset/jungle gyms--it had been tossed 2 yards away and smashed into a tree. Every house in town lost big limbs or whole trees. Two power lines were down and corn crops were flattened. My son's one friend's family lost all of their grain bins-one was even full. The news crews that were here said that it was straight line winds of 80-100mph strength. Compared it to hurricane winds. We spent yesterday cleaning up our yard and then helping neighbors do the same. Two other towns were hit equally hard. Only one injury reported thankfully! DH runs a lumber yard here and even though they didn't have power they were open and had LOTS of people in. It was insane!
On the exercise front I want to post my inch loss. I hadn't measured in 2 weeks cuz of TOM and sporadic BodyFlexing, but I measured today. I was really pleased with the results-especially since I only did BF about 9 times our of the last 14 days.

Here they are:

Neck - same
Upper Arm - 1/2" x 2 = 1"
Chest - 1/2"
Bust - 1"
Waist - same
Abs - 2"
Hips - 1/2"
Thighs - 1" x 2 = 2"
Knees - same
Calves - 1/2" x 2 = 1"
Ankles - same

Total Loss 8" + 6.5" from 2 weeks ago = 14.5" in about 15 Body Flex workouts in 3 weeks!!! Not bad huh?

Okay, still more to do today==all those things that didn't get done yesterday during cleanup.
Take care everyone!

Wow, Annie, those are very impressive results! Good for you. What is Body Flex? Is it a machine or weight training? Or do you just flex various muscle groups?

Not much new here except that I'm still on the carb binge wagon. (slapping self across face) I won't go into details. I haven't even had the courage to step on the scale for fear of springs and wires flying across the room when I do.

Stuck behind the home office desk doing paperwork today but I will get out to run some errands during the mid-day heat. It is very warm here and the forecast is for sunny days for the next week at least. Good news for folks on holidays and for tourism, I'm sure but it's not my thing.

Angry Another quick check in from me!

Been at the tax office most of the afternoon checking on property ownerships and delinquents for taxes on area of land that we like. Found out that the county offices are not always current with ownership info.

Been an okay day with shdh. He does seem to be realizing some things and the fact that his married son seems to be following in his footsteps and destroying his marriage has also had an affect. DGB (Kassidy) has spent nights with us cause of what she's heard between her mommy/daddy. It's sad for her but since shdh is starting to see the light hopefully things will get better for all.

Had a wonderful phone call from DD, Melissa aka Kudos, this morning. I miss her and the GBB's terribly but am so Blessed that they are all doing well. For those of those who may not know - they moved to England almost ayear ago.

Annie - WTG!!! You should be struttin' the stuff goilfriend!!!

Okay-need to finish some kind of dinner.

Have a wonderful night! Sure hope to see more lurkers posting tomorrow! You're thought about and missed!

Hugs ~~ Janice

Hi, everyone! I have been computerless the past week and I've been going CRAZY without my 3FC fix every night! However, now that I've read a week's worth of posts in one sitting, my rear is numb and my brain is too! Love you guys, talk to you tomorrow!
