My in laws are coming for dinner and we normally just hang in the breakfast area, but I decided to get out my mothers dishes and silverware, cut a bouquet of daffodils which are just gorgeous in my garden at the moment, get out the cloth napkins are pretty wine glasses. It really does make me smile and I figure dinner will taste twice as nice. . We are having Ina Garten lemon chicken, fresh very thin fresh asparagus and a barley, wild rice pilaf as sides.

It really is so much fun to decorate for each season, especially now with all of the beautiful flowers. I hope you and your family have a wonderful time!
Thank you! My in laws very much appreciate it all. My mother in law set absolutely beautiful tables in her day and notices all the extra touches. I have been out gardening several hours and I'm quitting for today! A walk is next to soak up spring and then we will be nice and HUNGRY and enjoy dinner.
I very very much believe in satisfaction at mealtime and a pretty table is fun at least once in a while! The dinner was a big success. My FIL loves loves loves his dessert and he is incredibly trim doesn't hurt him a bit. I set out a dish of little chocolate candies, dark chocolate, a caramel, little Heath bar individual bites with cinnamon decaf coffee. It worked perfectly.
