Ah Spring! Pretty Tables and Bouquets
 

My in laws are coming for dinner and we normally just hang in the breakfast area, but I decided to get out my mothers dishes and silverware, cut a bouquet of daffodils which are just gorgeous in my garden at the moment, get out the cloth napkins are pretty wine glasses. It really does make me smile and I figure dinner will taste twice as nice. :). We are having Ina Garten lemon chicken, fresh very thin fresh asparagus and a barley, wild rice pilaf as sides.

Thank you! My in laws very much appreciate it all. My mother in law set absolutely beautiful tables in her day and notices all the extra touches. I have been out gardening several hours and I'm quitting for today! A walk is next to soak up spring and then we will be nice and HUNGRY and enjoy dinner.

I very very much believe in satisfaction at mealtime and a pretty table is fun at least once in a while! The dinner was a big success. My FIL loves loves loves his dessert and he is incredibly trim doesn't hurt him a bit. I set out a dish of little chocolate candies, dark chocolate, a caramel, little Heath bar individual bites with cinnamon decaf coffee. It worked perfectly.

Enjoyed that a lot. :)
