Default Kanola?? Australia?

Thank you for your inspiring post on my Body for life thread. I am going to begin on Monday for my first 12 week challenge.

I am traveling to Australia in October. I don't know where to find some information. We are staying in Sydney for 5 days and just purchased tickets to a Rugby World Cup tournament in Gosford at North Power Stadium. Is there a website to find this stadium or any other information you can suggest. We seen that it is approximately 40 miles from Sydney and that is all we know.

Your help would be much appreciated....

Cheryl

I am doing a BFL kind of thing. Basically I am trying to do the working out portion and then I am eating what I can. Since I have only started back 4 weeks now, I am not being extremely strict with my diet, and it has been working really well. I am not binging on the weekends or completly quiting b/c I had a bad day. As time goes on I will be cutting out more fat and really getting down to business. I like in Elk Grove, how about you?

Hi Cheryl

Another Aussie here. I actually grew up on the Central Coast (where Gosford is) and lived in Gosford so I know where you are going. You can drive there if you are hiring a car or catch a train and walk. The stadium is across the road from the Central Coast Leagues Club www.cclc.com.au and is only a ten minute walk from the train station. If I were you, I'd actually catch a train, the ride is only about an hour (maybe an hour 15) from Central Station (Sydney city) and is a very easy journey. If you want/need any help with directions to Gosford send me an email and I'll help out any way I can.

I hope you have a great holiday.

Default Yay for Aussies!!

Hi!!

I am actually from Canada originally and have only been here for 2 years, and I am a dork (or a duffer !!) because I have only travelled around Melbourne because we went to Canada for Christmas this year.... hoping to make it up to Sydney in Oct/Nov when my friends come over!!

I am not very good for advice unless you want directions/information on the eastern suburbs of Melbourne!! ha ha ha!!!

Give it a go.... I am soooo happy I have stuck this out for 12 weeks!!

Nola.

Default Oh another thing

Cheryl

One thing I recommend you doing while in Sydney (if you have the time) is climbing the Sydney Habour Bridge. It is awesome, I did it it May. Check out www.bridgeclimb.com.au for all the details.

Thanks so much for all of your information. We are so excited about our trip. We are in the process of booking the trip (I've had a bad experience with this travel agent) Regardless, I have now been told that our hotel in Sydney is charging $396 more per person due to the World Cup going on. Naturally, I told the agent to look for another hotel in Sydney. I'm sure it will all work out.
Anyway, thanks again for the info. Let me know if you are ever traveling in Chicago.....

Couldn't resist saying this...

IT'S AN OZFEST AT LADIES WHO LIFT!!!

Am I the only American who pictures Australia as being PACKED with muscular men and women?

(plus I must add that there are some GORGEOUS horses there...never been there but seen photos...)

Talking OMG you lot!

I don't know about an Oz fest!

Ok well my games on other dates but I have 2 games at the central coast stadium ie Gosford.

They are probably right about the hotels. Try and get something out in the suburbs it will be cheaper. Suggestions

Stamford Grand North Ryde
Metro motor inn Ryde

They are in my area - Jayne may be able to help you with the North shore where she lives. Other than that consider staying at a pub or a backpackers. The two best backpackers in Sydney are

Wake Up!
Wanderers on Kent

Both are in the city. HTH

Karen, it's absolutely packed with muscular men (don't know about the women, i never look) I just have to go out and find the guys now.

Cheryl, here are a few more links for you to help you out with Sydney and the trains.

www.131500.com.au this one will help you with the transport around town.

http://sydney.citysearch.com.au/ this is for accommodation and everything else.

JC is right, if you want to go cheap for accomm, try backpackers accomm.

http://www.totaltravel.com/localguid...ydney/hostels/ this is just another link i found.

Hope this all helps.

Jayne
