Today will be a cooking day for me. Thankfully I work from home and am able to do this.
Plans are to start two roasts soon (two crock-pots), roast a turkey in the oven, and on the stove will brown several pounds of lean ground beef and boil 2 (maybe 3) chickens in my large stock pot to debone and freeze into portions.
My husband works shift work, so I don't cook a huge meal on the nights he is gone. I cook something easy for the kids on those nights and will pull something out of the freezer for myself. We will all eat the same vegetable - whatever I decide it will be that night. That should be easy because my kids are veggie and salad eaters, so this is never an issue for me.

Top of the AM Everyone ~ Here's to another great day OP. Don't mind any of the hiccups that pop up along the way - let's vow to arm ourselves with items (water, food, etc) that help keep us focused and Ideal Friendly.

Princess Peacock - that's a BIG day of cooking, good for you - sounds deelish!

Cheers Everyone!

Morning! I'm checking in daily as to my promise to myself... yesterday I stayed on plan the entire day. First day in weeks .. maybe a month. I forgot how many trips to the bathroom you make when first starting IP. Have a great day!

Good morning all! Woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed which is not like me at all. I feel like I'm more alert and have a slight increase in energy today, which is day four here. Another OP day ahead!

Make it a great day!

Morning everyone. I come to this site daily and read all the new posts but I do not post very often. I am going to try to post daily, I think it would be a good OP tool for me. Everyone have a great OP day!

I think I want to go to your house for supper tonight

Morning everyone! Today is another crazy day for me and WI day - fingers and toes crossed for a good one. Closer and closer to Onederland!

Woke up with a kitten cuddled up on the pillow by my head who was not thrilled to be woken up. I think "not wanting to disturb a kitten" should be a perfectly valid reason for missing work

Happy Tuesday!
Jo

Good Morning, IPeeps!

So it's official... My hair is starting to fall out. This is around the same time it started to fall out for me the last time I did IP as well. Good thing I have thick hair!

Lisa I don't know how to quote something from yesterdays daily chat into here, but I want to say that what you said about sticking OP, food cravings etc was AWESOME! I always envied you because by your posts, I could tell that you are very strict with this diet, have been doing it for a long time and even with stalls you still stick with it, and I thought "Wow, I wish I could be as focused as she is!" But that post made me gain a whole new respect for you, because I realized that it's not just a "walk in the park" for you and everyone has their own struggles, ups and down, etc. YOU are AMAZING and such an inspiration, and I am as excited for you to reach your goals and I am to reach mine!

With that much food, we can ALL go to her place for dinner tonight!! I wish I had that motivation! I think I'm doing good if I cook an extra chicken breast so I don't have to cook the next day!

Happy Tuesday everybody! I just came from my WI and hav a couple of questions for the pros, if that's ok. Apparently my lean muscle is up a full pound... Any idea what could cause that? I'm staying on program and haven't cheated. I'm using Mio in my water and started using the EAS Advantage shakes mentioned in the alternatives thread, could that be it?

The other question I have is regarding hydration. For weeks it's shown that my hydration is very low but I'm drinking water like crazy, I go through probably 4 1.5 L water bottles a day plus a glass or two of decaf unsweetened tea. Should I just chalk this up to a WI first thing in the morning before I've had a lot to drink?

Thanks ladies!

Good Morning,
Thank you for those that responded to me yesterday when I asked what programs you were using for Cal/Carb tracking. I was having such a difficult time figuring out that "MFP" was short for "My Fitness Pal". Now everything makes sense!!

I think lean muscle being up is a good thing. We want to keep our muscle and get rid of fat, and if I'm correct, lean muscle helps burn fat?!

I think those scales that measure hydration are not very accurate so take the scale measurement with a grain of salt. Also a 1.5L bottle of water is equivalent to 50 oz. of waster so you are drinking over 200 oz. of water a day. So you are plenty hydrated. Probably drinking too much water! Cut your water back to 100 to 125 oz a day. Most dieticians say you should drink 1/2 oz of water per pound of body weight ... so if you weigh 200 lbs drink 100 oz water.
