Smile Introducing myself!

Hi everyone!

I just started IP as of August 1! I'm fairly confident about it and I'm glad I found this community. I have about 90lbs I want to lose (I'm 202lbs now) but my coach only wants me to lose 50lbs for now (I'm 5'3" and she feels 90lbs is too much). Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you all!

Hello and welcome! I want to lose a total of 80lbs, but my 1st goal was to lose 16lbs. My new short term goal is to lose another 20lbs. I'll keep setting these shorter goals until I hit my ideal weight! I had to pick short term wight goals that had meaning for me and give me satisfaction. Each shorter goal is a maximum weight from my past that I thought I would never exceed. With the classic yo-yo dieting I did though, I sure managed to exceed them! I love losing weight this way! Good luck and keep up that enthusiasm!

Thanks for all the replies, everyone!

I think I'm reading too much into this IP stuff though, only because I know that most of the places people go to for this program are through a clinic. I'm working with someone who works out of a spa they own. Should I be worried? The protocol and products are all the same, with the same IP logo on them. It's only my 2nd-3rd day though. Any advice for how to tell if this is legit or not? On their FB website it says that they should have taken a before photo, is it true?

Welcome! I do to got to a clinic. My husband does and I am doing alternatives at home though I started with IP packets and as I learned more here I've switched. I'll be honest, this forum is more help than the clinic overall although they are excellent. I scanned all the protocols and I review them when I have questions. You'll do great, no worries! It's a lifestyle change.

I am new here too and currently on day 6. I wish you all the success in the world! I also want to lose 80lbs... I look forward to hearing your progress!

I started on the 29th of July and my first weigh in is on the 7th of Aug. Hopefully the scales will catch up, because I haven't lost a pound yet... I am told I am prob losing inches tho.. .we will see... fingers crossed

Welcome! I'm on my 2nd week and loving this program. The weight is melting off and after a couple days the program is effortless. I go to a clinic and my coach is invaluable. She did take a before photo of me and she sends me a text message every couple of days to see how I am doing and to encourage me.

As you get closer to your goal you will know what is right for you. I have noticed that my body is smaller now than at the same weight in the past. I actually got some size 8's on the other day....at 150 lbs. The last time I could wear an 8 I was in the 130's! That is the great thing about IP. The fat just melts!

Welcome to IP! I'm on my 6th day and loving it so far. I go to a physical therapy place, so not really a clinic. But, I feel as long as it's the real deal, and I'm following the IP protocol, I'm good. I actually weighed in already once, but that's because I want my WI day to be Thursdays. I was so shocked when I had already lost 4.2 lbs in 3 days on the program. I don't look at myself as being very big. Definitely NEED to lose weight, but thought since I only have 20-30 lbs to lose, I wouldn't lose as fast as others. I was WRONG! Now, I wish I had done this sooner.

About my goal weight. I originally told her I want to be 122-125 (breathing room of 130). After she checked my body fat %, she told me I might not want to go that low. I have almost 100 lbs of lean body mass!!! I'm thrilled about that number. I already look muscular, so I'm hoping it will be more pronounced after the layer of fat is gone!
