Question New here with a question?

This is my first week doing weight watchers. I have been doing it at home with iPhone apps and old ww books I had before. Well, I will get the new points plus books I ordered off eBay today, but I am wondering can some one tell me where to go get my daily point allowance?

If anyone would like to figure it or point to a good reliable place online that would be great!

Hi and !!!!

I am doing it at home too. I calculated your points at this site and it came to be 39 points daily along with your 49 weeklies. The site also has a lot of great WW-friendly recipes. I think it is pretty accurate as far as calculating your DPA goes. Good luck with your journey!!!

I used my Weight Watchers Point Plus Calculator and got 39 Daily points, and you also get your 49 weekly points. It came out the same as Amandie's website calculator.

When it comes down to weekly points everyone is so different, you really have to figure out what will work for you. You might also find that what works for you now may not work as you get closer to goal, so you really have to watch it and play with them.

I do eat my wps. I save them all for one day and have a splurge day, when I do this I find it does not effect my weight loss. I especially do this if I have a special event (easter or wedding etc). If it do not have a sepcial event, i will still have a splurge day but just not as big of one. When I try to spread them out over the week, I find that my weight loss slows. This is just what works for me.

Koshka- Really? Did you even read the whole page that I linked??... I think you're the one who is confused. I used option #2 on that page which is an online Points Plus calculator to figure out OP's DPA. If you actually read my first post in this thread, you can see that I told the OP that her weeklies are 49. Dixiemom confirmed the OP's DPA is 39 so I assume the online calculator to be correct as far as calculating your DPA for PP+ goes.

I think you missed the part where she states right before going in on the questionnaire in the bottom portion of the page to calculate your daily points (for the OLD plan of which I said nothing about nor the like in my first post)- "Now, if you are still following the old Weight Watchers Points Plan, you can figure out how many points you are allowed each day answer these questions and add your score..."

Did you have fun camping? I miss camping so badddd. Dixiemom is right on the WP part, you will just have to play with them to see what works for you. For me to get a nice loss per week (1lb+) now, I have to stick with just half of them but that is probably because I am smaller than when I started 2 years ago. I also have not exercised in over a year so that probably has something to do with it too.

I go to meetings, but I wanted something to help me at home to keep me going with tracking for WW. I got the app Ultimate Value Diary and it is the greatest thing! It was a bit pricey at $4, but worth every cent! I like that the app will recalculate your daily points when you want to and it has been accurate for me so far. It keeps track of everything you need and is much less expensive than doing WW online for $50 a month.

As far as the weekly points I try to use less than 10 unless I have a big event and it has worked for me so far, in 8 weeks I've lost over 15 lbs.

Well.. I had a BLAST camping! Tried to do really good on my eating. Ate low fat hot dogs, no chips, one s'more ect.. We even hiked a 1.5 miles! This is day 10 for me I had weighed and lost 5.6 lbs in 7 days, now I am back to only 3.6 lbs?? I don't understand the fluctuation? I did the old WW about 4 years ago, and seemed like weight loss was more consistent. This week has been trying to lose the same weight from last week....

There are so many fluctuations to weight. Sodium, Time of Month etc. if you are sticking to the program you will loose. Way to go on the sticking to plan on the camping trip.
