Talking New to Weight Watchers AND 3FC!!

Hi there! I am so excited to jump in.... I am certainly not new to trying to control my weight, but I am new to Weight watchers and this forum. I am not an "official" WW member, but I follow it on my own using apps and online information. I am sooo hoping for success!! So far I have lost a few water pounds and I know that will not be a weekly trend. Still....hoping for the best!! Anyone else not paid WW members, just following along solo?

Welcome! 3FC is a great site to get support.

My husband and I are "going it alone" people. We bought materials off of ebay and use free apps on our phones to track our points and find out the point values of various foods.

We have following the WW plan and have been doing well. I am down 16 since January 7 and DH is down 21.

Both of us are loving WW. It is an "easy" diet to follow since we can still have the foods we love, just in smaller portion sizes and/or with less regularity.

Welcome to 3FC and WW!

I have just recently started WW on my own after attending meetings at work (can't afford membership at this time, they take it out of my paycheck since its provided by work.). Which so far has been successfully since I'm just using free apps and other tools to help me follow weight watchers. I'm glad to be back on the WW plan because for me its the only way I've been able to lose weight and stick to a diet I can live with.

Thank you for the welcomes!

I stayed within my points range today, and saved a few to have pizza at Round Table. Problem is, the white carbs seem to make me want MORE white carbs and here starts the cycle. So far, I have not given in though. Tomorrow I will stick to what I know works, pre planned and prepared meals, not random slices of pizza lol...

Hi. I'm new to 3FC's too. I started last Sunday; so my 1st weigh in is coming up. I'm doing it on my own too. I became a lifetime WW member back in 2000. I started struggling again after the birth of 2 beautiful children and hitting 40 a few years ago. I decided I absolutely have to do something. I am following the Points Plus program. I went back to WW back in 2011 (very briefly), but just didn't like the Points Plus program and was following the Momentum Plan. The old points were so engrained in me! So I did get all the Points Plus material and calculator. I'm using them now to follow the Points Plus program. I'm really excited this time and MOTIVATED! I just have to do it.
Good luck on your journey.

I am new to 3FCs. I was able to get all the materials from a family member who works for WW. She gave me the points calculator which I absolutely love using! I have done WW before and I am loving the PointsPlus system. I hope I will be able to find some inspiration here!

Hi sunshineandbunnies its been a few weeks and I was just wondering how the plan was working out for you? One of the benefits I really like about joining ww online is all the tools they give you online, and that has kept me motivated. so if anyone has had a hard time "going it alone" it may be work it to find the extra $5 a week.

Doing pretty well Candykisses...had a 4.5 lb loss the first week. I am trying not getting on the scale everyday and I am listening to the changes in my body. I am feeling great and in control. I am definitely eating more fruits and veggies than ever before! I have even had a few meals dining out! I have the Eating Out book in my purse at all times so I can make the right choices for my plan. Taking it all one day at a time!!!
