Default Day 4 help please!

Good morning everyone! Today is day 3 for me - I started out with a massive headache and I'm trying to rest to make it go away. I've already gotten in some salt so I'm hoping that helps. So far this has been the worst day but I'm hanging in there because I've been told it gets better .

But my real question is about tomorrow. So tomorrow is day 4 for me and I have a 12-hour shift at a hospital for school. Can anyone recommend some meal options that will keep me going? I've always been a big breakfast person and cannot function without one. What foods would be best to eat in the AM? I'm already planning on doing 5 packets tomorrow since I'm still in my first week.

Thanks everyone!

Jenn

The good news, this is probably going to be your worst day and will will improve from here. Bad news, you have to get through it. My advice is(besides obvious: follow protocol)IP packet every 3-4 hours consistently at work, lots of water. It does get better!

I have several nurses who work 24 hr shifts in hospital and they swear by the RTD. They work in labor & delivery and can't stop to "shake a packet" when they want, so they have the RTDs with them and just drink when they can-not going more than 3-4 hours go by between drinks. They munch their veggies when they can on their work days. Been very successful for them. Losing weight, lots of energy, sleeping better. Good luck!

Egg whites! I did alternatives but always needed more than a shake for breakfast. I sill have egg whites with green onions and bacon a lot for breakfast, instead of what I used to eat.

I have coffee when I get up. 2 egg whites in the car on the way to work along with a 16 oz btl of water and a shake a couple hours later. Prepare lots of veggies before hand so that you are ready. You will feel better once this week passes I promise!

I agree with the other. You are getting through the absolutely worse part of IP. Hang in there and keep up with IP 100%...Sounds like you're having serious carb withdrawal... It will pass very, very soon!!!

I load up an IP Herb Omelet with spinach and mushrooms. It keeps me going and full for a good 5 or so hours.

Thanks everyone! I was thinking of doing something with the omelet and then having a shake mid-AM.

Just had some eggs and ham with marinated mushrooms for lunch. Going to go take a nap now .
