Well I wouldn't knock it until you've tried it guys, because it's now Wednesday and I'm 113.25 pounds, whereas on Sunday I was 116! I understand that it might not be for everyone.
I think it works by helping you feel satisfied so much quicker, and also by making sure there's a lot less undigested food hanging around in your body, which weighs a lot in itself.
It's only been a few days and:
- I feel more energetic and less sluggish
- I feel lighter, both literally and as a general feeling in my body
- Things are a lot easier in the bathroom (sorry if that's TMI)
- I am fuller for longer
- Eating slowly gives my stomach the time to realise when it's just at that satisfied mark, rather than going from ravenously hungry to uncomfortably full.
Also, if any of you guys are trying this, a tip if you find the counting of chews monotonous, or it's distracting you from watching TV or reading (if you like to do that while you eat): instead of counting the chews, you could just wait until your morsel feels and tastes like water. That way, even if you're eating ice cream, you know that it's been digested to the maximum it can be in your mouth.
But again, it's not for everyone, I totally understand. I just thought it would be mean not to share it, as it's working so well for me!
Hope your weight loss/maintenance journeys are going well, whatever method you're using.
