Default FRIDAY!!! March 21 Daily

Good Morning Everyone!
Thanks so much for all of your wonderful prayers and positive energy. I am feeling better today. Had some more blood taken yesterday and was given information about biopsies and what would hapen. I will know more next week. I am only 31 and don't plan on going anywhere yet. Mom has had 2 sisters die and my cousin at 33 is now battling Breast Cancer. I guess that is why this is hard for me.
Looks like rain coming today. Fine with me--it will wash away the snow!
Be back later! My kids are coming.

Good morning, Tammy, and the Sleephead Chicks!
Tammy, I am glad you feel a bit more up this morning. I guess you know that we all really care and understand your fears.

Rob was able to dog-sit yesterday - he just makes sure they get outside and have a little playtime. Harry got a really great looking jacket and we are having the store do the alterations! The $15 bucks is worth it because it's take me about two hours of sewing (exaggeration) and ten hours of *****ing! We went to a Greek restaurant for lunch and I stayed OP! I had a seafood appetizer which was yummy. It was octopus, squid and shrimp sort of sauteed with peppers and served on lettuce. Yum!

Hershey goes to the local fur stylist this morning to finally get rid of some of her shaggy crappy fur. Holly charges $30 while the really good groomer in Kingston charges $80. Guess where we go with dogs who no longer need to be shown!

We are going to a surpise BD party and potluck tonight and I need to take PROTEIN. It seems there will be lots of beans, lasagne and cheesecake so.... I am thinking devilled eggs and some small skewers of meat, cheese and pickle.

Gotta go. I am cooking bacon on the GF and it needs watching.

Have a great TGIF!

Finally!

After a week of non-stop going going going, I can take a little break! I have plans to clean out Miree's room which has bits of toys scattered everywhere (she breaks them or the dog eats them) and to continue on the laundry progress. Other than that, I am going to enjoy the silence!

Tammy, I am like you, a family history of cancer--except mine is ovarian and cervical. I am forever going in for pap smears, in fact I got a false positive once and then they did the test again and it's negative. I still unfailingly go in for my pap smears evry six months because of this. I am hoping and praying for the best for you--and I don't blame you for feeling this way, better to be extra cautious now. ((((((TAMMY))))

Ruth that seafood appetizer sounds delicious!! I love octopus! (yeah, call me weird, a hangover from when I lived in Korea)

Deb and all those to come!

Good Friday Morning

Linda, I clicked on the link you provided and spent over an hour browsing and reading. I love to read others succes stories. I particularly like the "jiggly fat" explanation and here I thought it was never going to go away!!

Tammy, take care of yourself ((((())))))

Yesterday, I had to steal the remote, and make hubby promise while I wasnt in the room, to NOT watch any more coverage. He got all pissy, but did as he was told. I left him be for about an hour and a half, after that, they just repeat themselves and he doesnt need to watch it!!!

Went for supper last night at applebee's, it was really good, and I stayed OP had the portabella burger and salad instead of fries. The salad was really good, it was full of bacon, eggs and cheese!! My kinda salad!!

Have a good one ladies
Robin

Okay, I'm feeling super guilty. I'm sitting here reading this mornings post, scarffing down a Krispy Kreme doughnut. Dang consultants, I wish they'd stop bringing in food. Being a stress eater sucks. If this war lasts much longer I'll end up gaining all my weight back. (note to self - turn off CNN occasionally and maybe you'd be less stressed.)

Tammy - My prayers are with you too. I'm sorry I didn't post that yesterday, but I was thinking about you.

Good morning to you all. With all the bad news did anyone remember that as of 9pm Thursday, N.S. time , spring arrived???

Well LindaBC, that is quite a site with lots of stories. It made me cry at times. I think it is bad because I have 20 pounds to loose. I know what they are going through as my mom weighed 524 when we took her to the laundry scales at the hospital to weigh her. Remember we all have a story.

It is raining cats and dogs, I know as I walked in a poodle as I went to let my dog[bernie] in

The rec room is leaking and the dog smells wet, But life is good.
Well all for now.
Tazcat It is thundering and lightning so I think I will shut the comp, off.

P.S. Linda I know what LC snacks are I just don't know what you eat as a snack??? cold steak/cold chicken/what love ya.

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind a newbie to your group! I'm a SERIOUS carb addict, who started induction today! Low fat/low calorie seems to have long since stalled for me & after seeing mini goals come and go with zero success I have decided to give LC'g a try!

Happy Friday!
Welcome Stacie, I'm new too. I began induction on the 14th.

It's been grey and rainy all day but the sun just broke out and I only have1 1/2 hours of kindergartners left That makes it a great day. I love the children but I'm ready for a weekend!

My exercise tonight will be walking my two dogs who are feeling neglected after a very busy week.

Tomorrow I'm going to Botanical Gardens to see their butterfly exhibit. I am a true butterfly nut and can't think of anything better to celebrate spring!

Take care everyone.
Peace be near.

Hello Everyone,

I am new. I started induction again yesterday (3/20) and this seems like the right place to be for support.

Thumbs down Happy Spring!

It is the most beautiful day here in Pensacola! I have the pictures to prove it. So appropriate for the first full day of spring, and it's DH's birthday too!

This is the park across the street from my office. The Gulf of Mexico is 4 blocks to the right.

Okay - I can't post them, hold on and I'll add them to Yahoo Photos.

I hope this link works:

Welcome to our newbies, Stacie and Piper, Willbe135 (did I miss anyone?). Stacie, where are you in Canada? I'm on the west coast. Nice to have another Canucklehead here. Soon, we will outnumber the Americans.

Hmmm, low carb snacks. What do YOU have? I like to make extra oven fried very crispy chicken wings. Any other leftover meat is good. I guess deviled eggs would qualify and cheese in celery sticks. Then there are always pork rinds dunked into a LC Dip. I don't dare buy peanut butter or any kind of nuts (at least while I'm on Induction) because they are foods I just can't seem to stop eating.
Any other suggestions?
Tammy, thinking about you. Glad you're feeling a bit more positive. Keep that chin up.

Welcome Piper66 and Canuksrus and Willbe135again!

You've found a great place for support and to get answers to questions. We're glad you joined us on the daily cluck where we babble and get to know each other best. Please start a thread yourself if you would like questions answered.

Dyan! Get my bed ready! I'll be there mid-December to mid-March next year! Lovely shots!

Gotta go. Those devilled eggs and shrimp and pork balls need some finishing touches before I get dressed for party time!

Hi again everyone & thanks for the wonderful welcome!!!

Linda, I'm in Alberta, close to Calgary.

Dyan - those pictures are gorgeous!!

Well, I messed up my 1st day - am at 24g carbs already (4pm). Mind you, compared to my typical 200+, I guess that's pretty good I'll have to be more careful with veggies - I didn't realize they were so high in carbs. Oh well, tomorrow is another day I s'pose.

Hope you all have a great night. I'm back to work tonight (work graveyards) <sigh>. Can't wait till next Wed. when I'm off again
