Unhappy Fell off the wagon, gained three pounds....

I was doing amazing for the past few months, then all of a sudden BOOM! I cant control my eating, I was eating anything and everything I shouldn't of even while I was telling myself "no you can't eat this". I don't know what happened, maybe I got bored with what I was eating? I was down to 166, six pounds from the max weight for my height for the USN. Now I'm back at 169-170. I'm so embarrassed and upset with myself. I also am going to my recruiter's office to get weighed this Wednesday before I go to take the ASVAB, I am really scared for some reason. It also doesn't help that the other man in the office already doesn't like me to well and just stuck up. When my recruiter was talking to me that the max weight was 160, he popped off saying oh it's lower then that. being completely rude. Since before I went up there it was about 430, I weighed myself fully clothed(no shoes) and I was at 168. Once I got there their scale said 174. Sorry, I am just rambling. I just feel like I let myself down or something.

I've had a couple of those episodes. The last time, i was just so upset at another week of not losing anything, that I didn't weigh myself, didn't exercise, ate everything in sight, and basically damaged my own progress for two days. I gained 5 pounds.

The good news is, I got back on track, drank lots of water and green tea, watched my carbs, and 4 days later I was back to my pre-binge weight. Most of the gain is usually water, which comes off quick. This set back gave me the drive I needed to get back to business. I felt like a failure, and I haven't wanted to go there again.

Now that you got that over with, eating everything that wasn't nailed down, you can get back to business and get back on track!

Take a deep breath and cut yourself some slack. It sounds like you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself to meet your goals - and that's a good thing but it can also trigger emotional eating cycles if you're prone to them.

I'll bet most of those 3 pounds is water retention and not actual weight gain. Just give it some time, drink plenty of water and it'll be gone in no time and take some of it's friends with it!

Be kind to yourself and you will get where you want to be - and who cares about that moron in the office? He sounds like an absolute arse and you should give him all the consideration an arse like that deserves (which is to say - NONE!).
