Haha. so im always curious about other diets..since im on south beach.. i like to look at other forums and see what other programs are chit chatting about..and i stumbled upon the ww forum and a forum that was talking about 1 point snack..and i began reading the list of snack ideas for 1 point and i was like "oh my goodness, maybe i shouldnt have read it" because im on south beach and i cant have popcorn right now and i cant have little cakes in the frozen section and sugar free pudding..and im thinking.."man , there diet looks yummier then mine right now".. maybe i should just stick to looking at food ideas in my forum..lol

I do the same thing. I'm on Atkins and when I look at other forums I'm always like oooooh....yogurt and granola! Oatmeal!

I love my WOE. I do much better on a lower carb plan. Plus, I know that I'll be able to enjoy those foods soon. The funny thing is, when I was on low calorie plans on the past I hated oatmeal and now I crave it. The only thing I really miss is fruit.

If it helps, all those handy little frozen "treats" and various "diet" snacks and cakes taste like nothing. Well, chemicals and sugar, but that's about it. They're dry or they're slimy or they're some weird texture no FOOD should be. They're not good. They're tolerable, if all you care about is "what junk can I have for one point" but they are by no means GOOD.

You're not missing much.

I think we all do that. I see some Atkins stuff that looks drool-worthy, then I look at the calorie count and say, "Nope, not for me!" Grass-is-greener syndrome happens no matter what plan you're on, I think.

And yeah, I agree that a good 85% of "diet" foods are pretty wretched. I find it more satisfying to eat a little bit of something delicious than a lot of something "meh."

Yes, well..when i went off plan today, i realized why im on plan in the first place..all those things i wanted to eat for my special birthday dinner..turned out to give me the ABC's Acid Reflux Bowel Problems and Constant Cramping..aka: a person living wheat free and gluten free and sugar free..eating all the above..caused significant discomfort and i think that overall..it wasnt worth it..in fact, it probably wont be worth it again..But i guess getting sick really helped me to understand why all those foods i loved to eat so much, are on the no no list in the first place..Maybe i will remember that next time i look at all these good looking foods i cant have..
