Red face **Need to be Accountable in Decemberrrrr!!*

Hey ladies! This is just a wee thread I've started up that continues on from a thread a few of us have been meeting in monthly to chat and keep ourselves accountable. New people welcome! No need for specific goals unless you'd like them, but basically it is a place where you can get encouragement and post on your progress.

A couple of personals from the end of last month's thread.

sun Yeah, it is pretty funny. I am silly like that sometimes. Congrats on the 154. I think taking it easy and listening to your body is a great thing to be doing. You sound like you're right back on track.

fatmac Your December goals sound totally reasonable!!

Stephanie It is the colour in my avatar, but that pic was taken the day I last got it done (6 weeks ago exactly!) and it fades a huge amount in the 6 weeks in between appointments so I end up with a multitude of different colours in the 6 weeks. So much so that I often get asked if I've had my hair done at different points in that time period hah! I kind of like that it changes so much and never really looks like a "faded colour job" or something. I know what you mean about work cramping the rest of your life. I have no advice on that as I'm kind of in the same situation. But good for you with the running - it is really something that is just time to be yourself and not have other distractions.

Thanks for starting the new thread, rainbow!

I want to post this in the new thread so I can be reminded of it every day!

Goals for December?
-Start running after the 15th (doctor's orders).
-On plan with food Dec 1-14. On plan as much as possible when home at the parents' house from Dec 15-31.
-Exercise every day Dec 1-14. Exercise at LEAST every other day when home Dec 15-31.
-Lose 4 pounds by Dec 15 (would LOVE to see 159 before going home, but will accept 161.) Maintain and come back on Dec 31 no higher than 161.
-Log everything in TDP while home.
-No alcohol Dec 1-14; strictly limited from Dec 15-31.

Now that...well in about 9 hours I'm going to be home free and living on my own! My eatting habits are going to change drastically, no more living on a gosh darn carb diet. I'm going to try and get 3 work outs in a week if I can do more great, but I'll go for 3 right now. Hopefully lose a pound a week and just enjoy life without having to share ANYTHING with anyone else as of tomorrow at 7am haha!

fatmac I was going to copy them for you haha, but no point in me doing that. They are great goals though!

sun It scares me that it's December. Seriously. Don't stress the marshmallows...I might have eaten 3 pieces of chocolate fudge before :/ But I just had a really healthy dinner so it's ok!!

miztaccen Yay for your own place!

Tomorrow, December 1, starts my new eating habits and exercise routine. I am going to try eating Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, Fiber One, Kashi, and Special K products only. Each meal/snack (B'fast, lunch, snack, dinner, snack) will be no more than 300 calories and I will alternate between Cardioke and No More Trouble Zones as my exercise routines. I can't wait to see some results.

Please help me stay on track, I am horrible with finishing things I start.

Hey there Ekicna - the calorie range looks good but you may want to try adding some fresh foods in there - eating packaged food exclusively isn't really the best idea in the long run...

rainbow - I was thinking, wait! How is yesterday December... then I realized you're in a WAY different time zone, lol... durr. That's really cool that your hair kinda changes the longer it's been colored, you'll have to let us know what color you decide on! =)

sun - Sorry to hear about your late night =/ Marshmallows, eh? Could be much worse!! Pat yourself on the back

fatmac - I'm still loving how specific your goals are. =)

miz - I'm sure you'll be so happy with your new place!

ekicna - You CAN do it this time!!

fat chick - Good luck on low carb!

Well ladies, I'm doing my best to change my attitude about things since I can't change my circumstances. Not that it's going well so far, but I'm sure the longer I do it for the easier it will get. I skipped running last night to go Christmas present shopping for my husband and I ended up getting my brother a movie and myself some boots, lol. I didn't find anything for my husband, thus the other items. The movie was a good deal and the boots were too cute to pass up, not to mention they were on sale AND I had a coupon. I got out of the shoe store paying less then 50% of the original price, so I am satisfied with my purchases. Anywho, not much else to report...

Thanks Rainbow, I normally eat tons of fresh foods and I am trying something new. It's only for 2 weeks and then I will re-evaluate and see how things went.

fat chick 123 I'm sure you can do it! Don't beat yourself up over some pancakes though

Stephanie That's awesome that you can consciously work on your attitude. I envy that. I am terrible at adjusting my attitude, if I'm in a bad mood...well it sticks. Shopping sounds good - I'm heading off soon to do a mammoth afternoon/evening/night of shopping with my sister and her husband and then later on with my mum. I have no idea what to get for people. My boyfriend is so hard to buy for! I decided on the same colour as before except because I had so much fading last time - it is SO bright! So bright haha. I promise I will try to take a photo sometime soon, I'm terrible at doing that.

Ekicna Fair enough! It's good to try out new things. Well done on your morning workout - I'm always jealous of people who can get up and get it done before breakfast!

Nothing new from me. Lots of shopping lies ahead today, which also means no real exercise - though I'd say I'll be out from 12.30pm - 9.30pm which means a lot of walking, so I guess it's ok! My eye is not feeling so good after I scratched it (sun, Stephanie and fatmac will know what I'm talking about from last month's thread). I really should stop wearing my contacts but I can't, my glasses are uncomfortable and my vision is horrible - far too horrible to go without. I have terrible vision!
Today's challenge will be keeping my calories in check whilst having to eat lunch and dinner at malls. I'm already trying to plan what I'll get. Hopefully I'll do ok! I'm thinking a Subway 6 inch for lunch...and some Nando's for dinner (Nando's is a grilled chicken restaurant, they only grill chicken). I also want to get a Starbuck's drink as it's kind of a Christmas shopping tradition when I go with my sister.

ekicna - Wow, first thing in the morning - you GO!

rainbow - Shopping sounds fun! I love shopping, although I dunno if I would be able to shop for that long, lol. Just remember to order light at Starbucks... or get the smallest size and I'm sure you'll be good to go! You really keep up with your hair, huh? I didn't realize it before, but I'm pretty sure I was chatting to you when you got it done last?

linds - Oh man, if only that's all it took! I'd be lookin' good right about now! lol

I'm currently battling myself about going to the gym tonight to run. I *want* to run, but I'm also tired. Not that going home would help the tired, because I still won't go to sleep right away. Decisions, decisions...

Hey everyone!

Stephanie and Linds - GO TO THE GYM! You will feel better after you exercise!

Rainbow - have fun shopping! I have to be in the right mood to shop, but even then I don't know I can make it for 9 hours!

Sun - don't worry about the marshmallows. They're not the worst thing in the world! (Also not the best, but you know that!)

Ekicna and Fat Chick - good luck with your new eating plans!

I've been really stressed out with school lately - have a TON of stuff to get done before I go home for the holidays in 2 weeks. I really, really wanted to pig out tonight on bad-for-me-foods, but I resisted! My only indulgence today was a tall nonfat latte from Starbucks (100cal) and that definitely helped with both the stress and the lazy feeling I get from this incredibly cold and snowy weather. I'm planning to watch last night's biggest loser (I really dislike this season, but can't stop watching) and go to bed early. I'm exhausted!
