Smile A Newbie

I am placing my order tomorrow. I am with Take Shape For Life. I know I can do this and will do this. Being the newbie here any suggestions would be so helpful. I love 3 Fat Chicks for a great forum. Love to meet you all.

Thanks,
Melanie in Colorado

Talking

Hey all,

Day 7 here. Stalled out at 5.5 pounds lost then nothing for 2 days.
I have a meeting tomorrow, maybe they will have an idea why? Guess it is at least a little closer to my goal but that seems a loooong way off.

Good luck with your first week! Let's keep the faith...
We can do this.......... cheering and clapping .... running to pee.....
drinking water.....running to pee.......cheering and clapping......

Keep smiling,

Sunandfun - HILARIOUS!! I absolutely LOOOOVE your enthusiasm and attitude!! I feel like I have been in the bathroom half my day - cracks me up! I am trying not to step on the scale every day but I can't help it. 4 lbs in the first 2 days. I know that's a lot water weight, so I'll see what the trend by the end of the week looks like. I mean... I'll take 4 lbs anyday!

got really hungry today - but plowed through. Today was day 3 - hunger is supposed to "go away" by day 4 or 5.... so I just need to make it a few more days (max!) and I will be good. I CAN DO IT!

YAY - so fun that we have a few newbies all in this together!!! WE CAN DO THIS WE CAN DO THIS!!!!! Remember - the courage to start the journey in and of it self is amazing - we can do it! I have been reading the book and am fascinated by the science. It helps me when I want to cheat - I understand why the system works and why a little cheat isn't really a little cheat - totally throws it all off. THat said, I have been eating a few more veggies than they say - can't help it, I get hungry and I LOVE VEGGIES (i know i'm weird!)

Let's KICK THIS FAT TO THE CURB - show it who's boss!!

Sunandfun - Congrats on you 5.5 loss...way to go!

skinnychicagogirl - Yeah you you...made it through day 3, I hope today is smother.

Yesterday was a touch and go day, and I made it...yeah me. I know I should wait to weigh myself but I could not resist, glad I did Iwas rewarded 4.5 loss in 2 days, I know it's mostly water weight but it's freaking amazing!

Wishing you all a great day!

mready - YEAH YOU is right!!!! 4.5 in 2 days is awesome!!!! I'm down 5.5 in 3 days. I'm TRYING SO HARD not to step on the scale, but I can't help it! I know in my head it's water, but I will take it!

Half way through day 4. Still feeling hungry now and again - I think I am just missing CHEWING FOOD. Is that weird? I'm eating more vegetables than is "allowed" but you know what? I like veggies so I'm sticking to it.

YAY TO ALL OF US!!!!

My package finally arrives today girls! I officially start Thursday of this week. I have to get some lean & green groceries. We can all do this together. To me health is the most important factor in my weight loss journey. I want to also have that euphoric feeling like I did when I was 16 years old coming back to school when I lost all my childhood fat all summer that year. Granted that was many, many years ago. The feeling still remains with me today. I am just doing it a more heathier way then I did it in the 1960's. I am a seamstress and love to make my own clothes to fit the way they are suppose to. Clothes are also my incentive. Slowly, but surely I will be getting rid of those clothes I have now and get the ones I really want. Maintaining my weight will be the real achievement. I know we all can strive for that.

So my new friends let our journey begin with out hesitation and strive for all our own personal goals. Keep in touch.

Your friend from Colorado,
Melanie

Melsie - yay! Let us know how it goes!

I'm on day 8. Having a tougher time today - I was insatiable hungry! I thought about food ALL DAY LONG. Couldn't stop wanting to eat. I was HUNGRY too! Am I doing something wrong? I know I am eating more "greens" than the plan says - i know I'm weird, but I LOVE veggies. I can't limit it to the serving they suggest - I honestly crave them when I don't eat them.

I am motivated to follow plan because I am motivated to change my life. that said, my tummy was gurgling w/hunger ALL FREAKING DAY. Any thoughts?

Today is my first week WI down 10.2 pounds.

skinnychicagogirl - I was hungry yesterday too, I just kept drinking more water, it did help out some but not enough I just went to bed early, and I am feeling more in control this morning.

Hey, hey, hey, all you newbies

Just on my way to pee and thought I would post a quick note
First the good news: 13 days and 7.6 pounds. Thought it would be better than that but I'll take it.
Now the bad news: after 2 weeks this food is really starting to taste chalky and the texture of nonedible things!
New ways of getting it down I like are, vanilla shake and diet root beer
dutch chocolate in iced coffee and making frozen pudding pops. I also like to put Franks hot sauce on eggs, soup etc. just for flavor.

I hope you all are doing well and congrats on your weight loss.

water is good for the hunger and staying busy by planning, crafting, computer what ever floats your boat works too make that 2.5 hrs go by faster. Then you are ready for another one of those gourmet powder meals

Hang in there! Got to go for now, no I really have to go nooowwww

Hi all!

I have been on Medifast for 12 weeks and am down 31 pounds. (The rest of my weight I lost pre-Medifast by calorie counting and eating a ton of veggies and whole foods). I feel great and have been binge free the entire time, which is a very big deal for me. Nice to see so many newbies
