I was rudly woken up bu DH sneezing about 10 times. that was it for me! I am trying to make my body get used to wakingup early so it will not be such a chore to get up and exercise in the am.

Dottie I had to laugh of your running a marathon!! I am going to have to use that one!! I would have fallen with laughter if she had said that to me!!
Linda I get on the defensive when MY DH starts in on me too. I have been trying not to lash out at him as I have not been working but then I was nicely saying something to him about something and he jumped me and said it was all because I was back at work and have gotten bitc#y again. I said that was NOT the case I was just trying to keep order in the house so it does not get out of hand that shut him up for about 1 min!! So do not feel bad about jumping him too much. I know he is working hard but it is not like you do nothing. I feel that my computer time is like his time in front of the TV/fishing if I did equal time the house would fall down at my feet!!! So where is the justice?? That is even with me not working!! Now with me working I have devised the stone program and I will say that after 4 days it is working. It works even better when I have money to reward the kids. I t9old my little one that I was very happy at how hard he was trying to get his things done and how hard he was trying to be good. And if he tries that is what this is all about. Peace is the norm in the house now. Except for the occasional fight and now I have a ball stuck in my ceiling fan that the boys threw up there last night!! LOL but I can expect things like that so I am not too upset at least it is better!!
I'm in a better space today than yesterday - I think I was just fatigued. Anyhow today is a bit cooler and the girls and I had coffee on the deck as the sun rose.
I am planning to tackle some of the tall weeds in the garden before they go to seed. There are some Sow Thistles that have gon to seed that I will zap with my handy dandy weed torch - that fluff burns fast! I am loaded with beans finally and will take a mess of them to my sister's place when we go for dinner tonight. I love green beans - especially with pesto. Actually I like almost anything with pesto.
Must confess to a wee slip yesterday. I decided that Hershey needed an ice cream and went to the little spot here in town to get her a scoop. They had just opened a pralines ' n cream so I succumbed. Hersh and I sat outside the shop on the bench sharing a serving. We did have two spoons and I didn't get them mixed up. OMG it was good! And I don't feel one bit guilty! She ate really well from the spoon and it sure was less messy and more sanitary than sharing a cone!
Gotta get going before I lose my motivation - DH just got up now and has been advised that I will need some assitance in the garden!

I also am glad that you are in better spirits today. I haven't opened the door yet, so I don't know!
Anyhow I guess I got all that venting out in my first attempt at posting, so now, all I'll say is:

I wonder if I can rent a security system for two weeks out of the year?

I have high hopes for a good eating day today. I have been slipping this week with no time to cook or pack food for work-always my downfall. So a relaxed Saturday to scramble some eggs and sausage, and get to the store for some fish for dinner and chicken for next week's lunches!

and that translates into a whole scrambled egg with low fat yoghurt cheese with pepper and chive, 6 shrimp, and about a cup of caesar salad. i REALLY should get a grip and realize that this isn;t a lot of food here!!

O h have I a busy day planned for today and this is the day I though no plans if al was well I could go down and visit??? Well
Starting with yesterday DH is trying to finally get things done around the house who knew/??? so after my plumbing fiasco he finally this week decided to attach the water softener to the sewer pipe. So he removed the old connection from the old pipe to drill a hole and stick it in to the new and lo and behold when the guy stuck it in the hole last time he plugged it up with goo so it had never worked!! I kept wondering why the thing just did not get soft I kept going down and changing the settings. (They told me not to touch the settings but you know me!!) So it never worked right from the beginning!! And dummy me never could tell. So hopefully I can start having clean clothes and showers and stop plugging the coffee maker and all the stuff I was upset that the lime was building up on so that is fixed (maybe my white pants now can stay white and not gray)
For today I have a 8 am appt with the car parts store then 9 with the mechanic that is going to put it in the car this is for the wagon that the breaks are bad on we need new rotors they are so warped that it shakes like heck when you try to stop and we burn pad when we go down hill. I will see if this guy can give me a price on the major oil leak we have. Too he was supposed to fix the old man car or broken hip mobile we have (DD calls it that 85 olds tornado) (the wagon is the other old man car but not to bad full sized 93 Chevy) but the parts had to be ordered from out of state so it will be a few days before that can be fixed. The bus we found had a broken rotor so that is also in the shop. (I will say that I have been in VERY bad shape with the cars with no way to fix them) now that DH got his check from the union contract we are getting things actually safe to drive!!!
So any ways the car goes at 9 then at 12 I have to drive DS1 half way to Cooperstown to let grandma and grandpa take him for the week (1 hour drive) then I have to be back by 2 to give the car to DD1 to go to a birthday party and some how get the other car in the mean time. With this I must finish the g-shopping and pack for the camping trip on this coming Sunday (I have to do it this week as next Saturday we are gone to a family thing al day) so this is a very busy day and I am having a stomach ache just thinking of what has to be done. And am trying to figure how to fit exercise in there??? What a nut I am!!
So all in all I just want to let you all know that although you will be sitting back and relaxing and crying hugging and meeting each other I am going to be at that time in Sherburne NY doing a kid exchange thinking of all the fun I am missing and jealous of all of you. Some day I will make one of these chick meets I know that this is jut not my time yet. But some time I will!!! And Ruth as soon as my life gets into a routine I will make some how o get up to see you!! Or meet half way!! How far is it to Syracuse for you?? (I am thinking of the carousel mall)

Other than that, just chores this morning and errands before I leave, around 12. Baked 14 chicken thighs for next week and will bake some breasts for chicken salad later when I get home. Bread is in the bread maker for DH. That should help the week go more smoothly.

joy of joys, i'm finding stuff all over the house that the relatives left!!! it's landing in a pile on a chair in the dining room. and waiting for them to miss it!!! underwear, jammies, all kinds of stuff this time. they never manage to pack everything they came with!!!
