Default Hi

Hi Ladies
I know I havent been on here for awhile. But things have been kinda hectic here. Hubby had a couple of seizures at the Dr's office. So they put him in the hospital. Just had to stay overnight. Then they were doing testing to see if they could find out what is going on. Then we had to go to the Dr's to get the reports and get him checked out. See how he is doing. Things are starting to slow down now. Now they decided that he has a underactive thyroid. So he started med for that this morn. But he dont have any of the symptoms. The only one he has is being tired. But he has been like that for the last 6 years. And his thyroid was ok then. So not real sure what is going on. Hubby started having seizures about 3 years ago. Been averaging 1 a year. But it had been 1 1/2 yrs since his last. So he decided to have 2 within 20 minutes of each other.
I have missed being on here. My eating is so-so. I am eating when I am not hungry. I guess it is stress. But I am going to try and get my hands busy. I am going to dig out my cross stitch stuff and start working on that. That has helped in the past. I havent had a chance to read the board yet. But will try and do that later. I hope everyone has been doing ok. I have really missed you ladies. I thought of you often. It has been soooo hot here. Then our upstairs just gets so unbearable. We have central air. But it doesnt cool the upstairs. So I am going to have to try and get on early in the morn. I may try and put a window fan in the window and see if I can draw the hot air out. Wonder if that will help.
Well I guess I better get off here. Didnt mean to write a book. I hope everyone is doing well. I will read the board and checkup on you. Maybe I can get back on track too. Thanks for listening. You all have a good day.
A TOPS PAL

Hi coco,

We have missed you and am sorry to hear about your husbands infrequent seizures. Those would be difficult since you never know when they will occur. Is he on any anti-seizure meds? I deal with my dd seizures on a daily basis, so no 'surprises' for me which is easier to plan for.

You posted while I was typing the 8/1 thread. Again, so glad your back and thinking of getting your hands busy. We are here for you. Take care and have a great one..........

Hugs, Summer

Hey Coco,

You sure have been a busy person. I hope your husbands seizures get cleared up real soon. That the thyroid meds work for him. Hopefully the meds will take care of the problem. Maybe he will get more energy now.
Don't beat yourself up about not doing so well. I know from experience that whenever we are stressed out that is when we eat the most. We are out of a routine and we are just flying with the wind. Your husband and his health are your number one priority right now. Your heart is in the right place. Now that he has the meds you can start to concentrate on you again. You know what to do because you were doing it before. You CAN do it again. I am here for you. Miss chatting with you. Maybe when the weather gets warmer we can hook up again online and catch each other on so we can chat. I know what it is to be in such a hot place and be so uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to leave the air conditioned area either.LOL
We have central air here also. But the day I came home my husband had turned it off thinking it wasn't supposed to be too warm and it was 90 and humid. Needless to say my house was 90 or more inside when I got home. It took all night for the central air to cool the house down. It was miserable.
You just focus on you when you get the chance and take it one day at a time and you will do fine.
