Default Finally Joined --- Hopefully a man is welcome !!!

So I've been reading the posts on the forums for some time now and have used much of it as motivation to push me along. For most of my life i struggled and I hit my peak back in June when i got up to 351. At that point I decided I really needed to do something not only for my own health but also to be able to do all the things I feel a father should do with his new son. Anyhow since that time I have dedicated myself and have gotten down to 272 pounds as of today. While I am happy with my progress I know my journey is far from over and I hope to gain further motivation from the message boards. Thanks...

Welcome to 3FC, David! You're doing great! Men are definitely welcome - it helps to balance out all the estrogen around here.

Thanks, well after trying every diet out there i realized i just needed to change my life and starting going to the gym and just watching what i eat. I try to stick to 1800 calories a day and go to the gym 5 days a week. Big change from coming home and watching sports with a bag of chips :-)
