Default On a downhill slide - Must Stop

Since my daughter's 5th birthday in October, I have been on a bit of a downhill slide. No diet whatsoever. Any advice on how to get it corrected before the Holidays?

DECIDE to. Decide that you will not go on like this another minute. Put an end to that downward spiral and reverse it.

Make the decision to put a halt to the "bad" eating behaviors. Once and for all and permanently. Make a commitment to do this no matter what. And then there's no way that it can't not happen.

The next step would be to make a plan. Rid your home of the junk. ADD in healthy, wonderful, tasty nutritious on plan foods. Map out your food schedule in advance. Journaling is a great tool - you bite it you write it. Get yourself on track. Do it today. Don't waste another second settling for second best, when first best is well within your reach.

Make that decision. Make that commitment. Make a plan. Then get excited. Get devoted. Get determined. Get into it. Get moving. Get planning. Get going. Get, get, get.

Remember you don't have to be fat if you don't want to be. You've got the choice to eat well and exercise. You've got the choice to be trim, fit and healthy. CHOOSE it. Today and every day. Why wouldn't you?? It's an incredible way to live.

I find that dieting is nothing more than stringing together a lot of small good decisions. So make your next food decision a good one. Choose to eat something healthy with a reasonable number of calories instead of something loaded with unhealthy fats and calories. Or choose to skip finishing off your daughter's lunch or having a snack when you aren't hungry. Then repeat again and again. You'll see results in no time.

go to the cupboard, this very minute, get a glass of water. take a drink. didn't that feel good?

Now, put on your coat, get your dog's leash (if you have one) and go for a nice walk...or do whatever it is you do.

Then come home and make a salad.

Go to bed, wake up and start your day right. It's a new day. Every day, from now on. Come here and tell us!
