I weighed in today and have hit the 50 lb mark - am really pleased. I wanted to share a tip that I learned on this (or another?) board. I got a pretty gold charm bracelet for Christmas from my husband. It had one charm (a heart) - to signify the first 25 lbs. lost. Today I am going out shopping for a second charm!! I wear it every day and it is a good visual thing to keep me OP. I will be really proud when my bracelet is complete! Maybe this will help someone else who has a pretty big goal.

You success is wonderful! I really like your visual reminder. I think I might do something along those lines when I lose my first 25lbs. Are you going to get another heart or a different charm? You should get something with a diamond on it! Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration to us all.

Thanks Quilting lady - my heart has a diamond (mmmmy DH was really nice to me!) I didn't find anything I liked today - any suggestions? I have heard that a butterfly makes a good "last charm"

I find that visual clues work well for me. I have my signature quote taped all over my house and also in my car. Again, you are truely an inspiration!

OK - I ordered my charm last night (found a good site) Got a chinese symbol for "long life" Very pretty! I'm sure that my life will be longer the more I lose! Saving that butterfly till the last one.
Marilyn: Congrats!! Also, the visual gift idea is GREAT! Not only are you reminding yourself of your completed goals, but you are alos promising yourself another gift (charm) for every goal you successfully complete in the future. This idea can also be used for other things like quitting smoking, getting decent grades at school, or anything else you can think of. I love this.
