Default July 13&14,2002 weekend menus

I saw the interest in menus, and thought that in addition to reading the old threads for ideas, it is always helpful to post current menus for accountablity, planning and motivation. Sort of like the exercise thread(or so you say )

so menu plan for me saturday is:

b-breakfast cupcakes
l-chicken salad on romaine
s- mozzarella, pepperoni
d-steak and garlic green beans

sf jello?

Anybody else want to do menu's?

newbies?

Hmmmmm.... here goes.....

B - 2egg cheese omelet (american & swiss) cooked in lOTS of butter

L - probably a salad w/turkey in it

S -- no idea just yet! probably chicken cutlet w/stirfry veggies

snacks: gonna try either the Atkins slushie or mudslide; also SFjello and maybe some sunflower seeds (or not!)

I'm probably someone who should post menus AFTER the day is done!

Default Last 3 days

I am posting my food logs in a Word doc so I will just cut and paste here at the end of the day. I do eat fruit, but usually it is only in the form of a smoothie. I was craving some brie today so I ate it on a nectarine, so I guess that is cheating...I need to pick a diet, I just do whatever and that has to quit. I have managed to lose 3 pounds this week though.

B Fruit-N-Flax smoothie, no added sugar

S approx ¼ cup of mixed nuts

L Chicken salad sandwich on revolution roll, 2 roast beef cream cheese roll ups, nectarine and brie -- too much!

S small handful of mixed nuts at the movies. I wanted popcorn SO BAD

D Chicken Caesar salad

S Mock Danish

Oh goody! A menu thread. I really need this for inspiration. Keeping in mind that I'm still on Week I Atkins Induction, I don't branch out from the basics too much.
Today's menus (Saturday)
Breakfast
4 slices bacon
2 egg herb omelet with cheddar cheese inside

Lunch
Chicken breast sauteed in butter
Small mixed salad with oil/vinegar

Dinner
L.C. Recipe Cheeseburger Quiche (not bad and very filling)
Sauteed red pepper, onion and mushrooms (in butter of course)
S.F. Jello and whipped cream.

It's now 10 pm and I still feel very full. This is so amazing. I'm eating less food than I did on WW but it's satisfying me more.
Managed about 70 oz water today.

jennifer.. a nectarine and brie!!! sounds DIVINE!!!! and i'll share this with the wls folks, since we can't EVER eat fruit without protein. [and, by the way, neither did you, so that's really a good thing; don't be so hard on yourself!!!!] and since we can eat about 1/2 of a large nectarine, this will be extreme luxury!

in fact, i picked up some wonderful mango nectarines yesterday, and i'm going to the grocery store today. peachie. do you want to share?????

OK - I KNEW I shouldn't have posted my menu yesterday before I ate!! Here's how it ended up.......

B - 2egg cheese (american & Swiss) omelet in tons of butter

L - Atkins crab&cheddar souffle (good, but way too expensive!)

D - went to a diner!: large steak, brocolli and small salad w/ranch dressing

Snacks throughout the day: 1 oz sunflowerseeds and one of those Atkins slushie's that I made --- tasted good, but lots of trouble to make! AND, they don't "blender" well - dh suggested that I just eat the cubes! Gonna try that later today for a snack!
