Well my goodness Leenie, that sounds awful! NJ sounds like Louisiana was awhile make! make all that rain can make you nuts and sure mess everything up. I hope dh is able to save everything in the shop. Is it a concrete floor in there?

How is little Gracie feeling this morning? any better? did she sleep last night? did you get some sleep until your dh got up with the rain? yikes

We went and saw Spiderman 2 after work yesterday. I LOVED IT! would like to see it again, but will wait til it comes out on video. I would rather watch a movie at home then to go to the movies, but it was nice. Anybody else seen it?

I am not feeling good this morning, no exercise for me, I have MAJOR stomach cramps and i'm moving really slow. It doesn't happen to me often, but every few months boy oh boy it hits me. Thankfully they never last long. Ain't it fun being a woman!

So what is everybody up to today? I've been picking up (slowly) and washing clothes. There are plenty of those to work on.

I'll check back later.

hugs,
cathy

Right now, Roger is ripping out carpeting in the living room and bedroom! I think that I can deal with the subflooring better than that terrible carpeting. Guess what! He thinks that there is a nice hardwood floor in the bedroom. I'm betting that there is one under the sublfooring in the LR too but there are major nail holes in it in now.

In September, the new windows are being installed. Am looking at some major work to be done on this house, but it will be a showcase. BTW, the window man made an offer to us for this house and the property, but we just chuckled. I KNOW how much this is worth and I know what we paid for it 12 years ago. It's more than doubled. We also have 10 acres and a pond that we need to restore. that isn't too hard cause, with a bit of help, nature will do most of the work.

Well, that's the news here.....back to your regularly schedulted program.

Default Happy weekend

Hi everyone!

Leens sorry to hear about the rain.....seems as though the weather is really changing no matter where you live.....we have had rain hail tornado's and floods this summer.....

Cathy sorry you are under the weather.......we are on the same "cycle"...I am a bit draggy now but otherwise there isn't too much change with the me.....I have not seen spiderman but hubby took the girls and they liked it.....the movie my dd12 really enjoyed was Notebook....I haven't seen it.....they often go to movies when I am working evenings.....to break things up!

Tippy reno's are a pain but at the same time exciting....I did dd12's room in June and my next project is the front entrance.......it kinda snow ball's once you get started.

I am working evenings all weekend...hubby is at the farmers market....with the girls so I am just grabbing a quick lunch before work.....we all spent about 2-3 hours this a.m and pitched in and got the cleaning done. So that feels great.

Have a great day everyone!

Eliz

Hello Ladies. Its really late here and I am really tired.Me and Dh went to go see BIL today and he was having a good day.He was very much with it even though we came bearing some bad news.We told him about his truck getting repossessed and he took it calmly.Which is totally different from the BIL I know.I asked him how therapy was going; he said it was going. He won't get out of bed unless its for therapy. So I think I am going to call up there and tell the nurses to get him up.Honestly; Dh says he thinks he is just giving up. We got to get him some more stuff to take up to him.

*hugs*

Good Morning,

Lynnie, thats really sad about your BIL, there's no reason why they shouldn't have some one his age up and about as much as possible, sounds like t ome either he is fighting them like cats & dogs OR they are very lazy. If I were you I would investigate rather than to let him lay there and rot. Poor thing.

Not much going on today, gotta go food shopping and my house looks like a tornado went thru it. Not dirty but MESSY!!! crapola all over the place lol.

I saw this recipe on the foodnetwork yesterday for chicken cordon blu burgers made of ground chicken, looked reallllllllllllly good so I think I'm gonna try it today.

Well I need some coffee, I actually slept until 8 am..... whoohoooooooo

Whats your sunday like ?

also let me know how those burgers are?? Maybe give the recipe PLEASE!!!!!

But I am goijng to make a phone call today and se if they are getting him out of the bed.

We just got home from grocery shopping and the stuff is put away. Roger headed to the parsonage where a group is going to give it a spit and polish. Our new pastor arrives this week with his wife and new baby and we want it perfect. I'm going to chop a few veggies for tomorrow and go upstairs to sew a bit.

Leenie, my DD is fine. Very busy with her two businesses, friends and family. Things still are not what they should be, but she has to live her own life.

We stopped and looked at outside doors for the house today. There are three that need replacing. We have four entrances to this house....would you believe that! We're also looking at appliances that clean hard floors easily. Try cleaning a floor while using a cane sometime. Oy vey! Would make the Pope swear.

LindaT, if you're lurking, I thought of you yesterday. We have a darling black and white kitten, but the little thing is lame. He can't bend his one hind leg and I immediately thought that he would be the perfect new furbaby for you. He/she would be able to survive indoor, but I doubt that it will outside. Maybe, maybe not.

Hi everyone

It's a cloudy day here.....cooler.....but yesterday was hot.....haven't been here for a few days. Do you follow an eating plan.....or not.....I have been trying to do that for decades....I guess....on & off.....but don't do very well after a while....so I decided to not follow an eating plan....just eat....to try to eat healthy.

My sister Elaine & I.....we are trying to do the yahoo messenger thing....so we could talk to each other....& see each other....what a hoot...we know some things about the computer....but certainly not everything.....I accidentall got rid of my Outlook Express by clicking something....instead I had Yahoo email.....I called DS3....over the phone....he told me what to do....to get the Outlook Express back....I did it & it was back.

One of the natural antidepressants I am on is 5-HTP....it can suppress the appetite....by the 5th day of taking it.....now I don't seem to have much of an appetite.....hope it lasts.

Cathy.....hope you are feeling better soon.
