Default Need To Step It Up A Notch!

I've been away doing my exams the past month and didn't have a scale with me. I've been taking Alli, eating perfectly and going to the gym twice a week, as well as doing long walks, climbing hills etc. My trousers are falling down and I was expecting an exciting loss.

Well imagine my dissapointment when I saw that in the past month I have lost....1 pound. How?! So disappointed!

I'm trying so hard and there's just nothing! So I'm going to try to step it up a bit. So the second I got home I joined my old gym and I went this morning. They've got loads of new equipment there since I was last a member, and I love going there so much. I was going every day over the summer, so I hope to be there around 5 days a week. In addition, I've been doing my Wii Fitness Coach, and also bought EA Sports Active today, and will also be hoping to go swimming and cycling once a week, and hillwalking at least once a week, hopefuly more. I love exercising and am very active, so even though this seems like a lot, it's not more than my usual routine.

It's food that's the issue, unfortunately. I live with my family who are all skinny and eat crap. My brother in particular insists that we buy bad food, and I really struggle with it being in the house.

Case In Point: my dad has just walked into the living room with brie and chocolate biscuits, and I really want some as well!

It's so annoying: when I'm at uni I get my food under control but find it difficult to exercise when I'm so busy and far away from the gym, yet at home I go to the gym every day and workout a lot, but can't get my food sorted out! Wish I could find a happy medium somewhere!

Anyway, apologies for general rant but I really need to get going with my weight loss! Being fat is stopping me from achieving so much in my life and it's my 21st birthday in July, and I just want to be a bit thinner by then.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Georgiad, you are looking at it all wrong!

You spent a month in awful dietary confusion and you did not gain! Congratulations!

Plus all that walking and other exercise has probably started to significantly change your body make up. You may have started to significantly exchange body fat% for lean tissue%, so the scales may not tell the whole story. You can check this by adding a simple measure, your waist line! Are your jeans any looser???

Come and join the six week challenge, we're all supporting each other in a short term goal with weekly weigh ins and lots of nagging where needed

Georgia that sounds great. Since ive been at uni ive gained 28lbs! I just had exam week too, but now theyre over im going to focus on my fitness more now.

I recently purchased wii fit, and was debating whether or not to get fitness coach. i know theres a new one out but i have no clue what the difference is or which one is the one everyones talking about?

Anywho good luck with your goals, im sure you'll do it xxx

Don't let the scales get you down! 1lb is still a loss and like Stef said you haven't gained! Plus if your trousers are falling down you are obviously toning up and losing inches so look at the positives

Just think how rubbish you'll feel if you give in and have some chocolate biscuits. Just keep up the good work, you will see results
