Default Introduction

Hi,
I would love to join the chickies on the beach. I have done SB before but like anything else it is so much harder the second or third time around.
I want to lose about 30lbs. Unfortunately, I can't do Phase 1 because of the meds I am on.
I live in Central Ontario (Hi, Ruth). and I lived in Kingston for about 5 yrs while hubby was in school and worked there for awhile. As you can see, I have been a visitor to the SB site for a while and finally have decided to join.
Can't promise that I will be on the dailies regularly. Just not living a very exciting life. DH is retired and has turned my life upside down. I love having him at home but it cuts into the many things I do like weaving and beading plus spinning yarn and knitting.

to The Beach, Sophie! I'm glad you decided to join us!
I know you said that due to your meds, you can't start with Phase 1, but you can still have great weight-loss success. Phase 1 is for getting rid of your cravings and detoxification, Phase 2 is where the real weight loss begins.

Good luck, and we hope to hear from you often!

Default Welcome Welcome!!!

Hi Sophie! Just start in Phase 2 like Cottagebythesea said. It's an incredibly healthy way of eating and you'll do great. (It's also very filling which is very important!)

I would recommend you check out the recipe sections if you haven't done so already and start collecting some good stuff. You could look in phase 1 recipes as well because you could pair a phase 1 recipe with brown rice or whole grain noodles and make it phase 2. Just a suggestion.

I know you'll lose the 30lbs you want to lose. It's not even a question!

neighbour! Yes, Phase II is very workable and healthy. SBD has changed a bit so be sure to read the revised Food Lists in the FAQ Section. Do you have the book?

Sophie! This is a great place to be - the Chicks are smart and supportive and encouraging so ask away.

What kind of beading do you do? I used to do small pieces - earrings, bracelets, & amulet bags. Still have my supplies and a large collection of beads but haven't done much for years. Do you have pictures?
