Default Mothers Day Recommitment

I am ready for a renewal of my goals.

I have been having a hard time focusing myself lately, and well i have not gained anything but a whole bunch of fluid. But if I let it go longer it will be fat. I have not stoped exercising, but that is about the olny thing that has helped me keep from a total fall. So at this time i will rededicate myself to a focus on myself and my goals. I will renew my spirit and go all out for my goals. I am so close but so far I do not want to slip backwards. I have somewhere about 30 lbs to go to get to a good goal for me. I want to lose 10 lbs by mothers day. That is tough but it is about 2 lbs a week.

So for me this is what i plan on doing.

After easter i will focus daily and examin my goals and find out where i want to go.

I will look at my food before i put it in my mouth and decide if it is what i really want to eat and if it is going to help me get to my goals or to keep me farther away.

I will keep checking in daily ( I do but not always post)

I will dedicate myself to drinking atleast 100 oz of water daily

I will exercise 5 - 6 days a week. and try to increase my run for 4 miles.

Sue - I am so proud of you for re-dedicating yourself. You have come so far. Look at you...65 lbs gone, only 30 to go!! Wow!!! I know you can do this. And we will help you every step of the way!!! This whole "diet" thing is just a matter of habit, we are either in the habit of drinking our water, exercising and watching our food or we are in the habit of doing what got us here in the first place. It sounds like you got the exercise habit down pat!!! I can't wait to see you reach your goal!!!

Default go Sue!!

Hi Sue,

I am so proud of you for the weight you've already lost, and for all the support you provide to all of us.

I'm going to join you in your ten pound weight loss goal for Mother's Day. I hope we both can do it! I just started a few days ago.

I had a slip up yesterday-stress at a family gathering-and I ate two pieces of cake. But I'd had ww toast w/cottage cheese and skim milk for breakfast, a small sandwich for lunch, and turkey, a bit of stuffing and broccoli and cauliflower for dinner...and 80 ounces of water. So hopefully the cake didn't do too much damage.

See you back on this thread on Mother's Day

I'm with ya guys but I need to lose 13 more by Mother's Day for my first 10% goal would make me 302. That would be a total of 34 lost for me.

I want to join in too!
I have been staying the same weight for a long time myself--playing a game of lose a few then gaining them back. I am proud of myself for not regaining the 33 that I had lost last year but I really need to move. No longer just for vanity but for health. The more I read about how much harder the poor body has to work to keep an obese person going the more it inspires me to try again. I joined WW this week and they want you to make your first goal to be 10% for me that is 28 pounds. I know 28 pounds is not gonna happen in six weeks so how about 10? I tell you at this point of just playing around I would be thrilled to say I weigh 270 and not 280.
Happy Easter!!

Ok.. so mother's day it is. We were going to go for a little bit sooner holiday like "May Day" since mother's day is a little far off for me, I like my short term goals, but that's fine.

My goal is to have finished losing the 10%. I have lost 20. I have 10 more to go. I think 10 lbs in 6 weeks is a perfectly good goal. Hopefully I'll be early again!!

Hugs to you all...

I'm joining in... I ,too, would like to lose about 10 pounds by Mother's Day. I figure that's a good goal to set... not too steep. There's lots of things to do here right now... Graduation is just two months away. Just started writing my term paper and doing all that end of your high school career stuff!

Anyway... ten pounds by Mother's Day... sounds very reasonable! I just have to figure out a healthy solution to high school cafeteria lunches.

Default Revised my goals

I spent some time this weekend reading through all the weight watcher materials.. And found out that in June my "maximum" weight range goes up, which is good!! I was highly skeptical of myself at 151 (the maximum weight for my height and age right now), but it goes up to 158 when I turn 25. I think I can totally do 158 without looking anorexic. I also think I never looked closely enough at the weight ranges before. SO, that is my new "final goal weight". We'll see if I can do it!!

So that means start weight = 297
current weight = 277
goal weight = 157
total weight to lose = 140
current weight lost to date = 20

Smile I'm in

OK, ladies, I'm in also. My mini Mother's Day goal is 10, as well.

'Manda, I'm so happy to see you joining us. Your goal is perfect. You will do quite well, I'm sure. Have you decided how you are going to attack this weight issue? Have you considered taking your lunch to school? Maybe you could stay within a plan easier that way than by trying to work around a school lunch. However, if you analyzed the school lunch by WW points or calories, you might be surprised, and be able to work that into a plan, too. Keep up the good attitude. Now is definitely the time for you to do this. You won't have all the hangy-down skin that I'm going to have! Keep in touch with us and we'll help all we can.

Bethanne, I'm not going by the recommended weight range the professionals give us. But, I'm twice your age, so that makes a small difference. My first 'final' goal is 200. Actually, I'm going to change it to 199, because I don't know the last time I was below 200 pounds. You'll look great when you're finished. Good luck to you.

Best of luck to everyone who is joining this challenge. Between all of us, we're going to lose a whole person!!! So...

LET'S GO 'LOSERS'!!!

Gayle

Ok, I am joing in on the bandwagon. My goal is to have lost a total of 50 lbs. That puts me at a total of 12 lbs to lose, which should be totally doable. I can't wait to say that I've lost 50 lbs!!

Good Luck Everyone!!

Well, I guess if I really buckle down I can do it. I still have 3 lb to lose. It's do-able. (if I just hadn't eaten that giant meal at mom's tonite...) Oh, well, it was delicious, and definitely worth it! The swiss steak melted in our mouthes! Of course, she had the meat browned and in the 6-quart roaster by 9: AM!

So, good luck everybody. BA you're a shoo-in! Congrats...you're doing a great job.

love,
