Unhappy Headaches...

Wow, do I have a doozey of a headache today! I think it's because of the Medifast and the lower calories/carbs. (I had a similar reaction to Phase 1 of both Atkins and South Beach.) I know they said that this could happen, but I just wanted to whine a bit! I hope it doesn't last, I don't think I could deal with headaches often.

I can SO relate. For the first three days after I started MF last week I lived on Excedrin. Good news is, it does get better! Hang in there!!

YIPPEE!!! My order just arrived. Sorry about the headaches. I'm sure it will get better. The drop in calories has got to be a major shock to the system. That's part of the reason I'm going to wait until the weekend to start. With the training and physical shock to my body I don't want to be half loopy and cranky at work.

But I am sooo excited. I have started cutting back. Maybe I can avoid some of the bigger problems this way. Plus, I still need to get the thermoses and such now that I have an idea of the sizes I need so I can bring it to work.

Gee, lots of shakes and drink mixes. I think I can hang with what I've seen. I also got the Omega 3 supplements and recipes. I know I'll need a little variety. I like what I've seen about adding veggies to the soups and boullion. I'm sure that will help.

Thanks for the warning. I'll put a bottle of Excedrin Migraine in my bag.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Yay!!! That's awesome Operator! I thought starting on the weekend would help me avoid headaches at work too...I guess it just took longer for me to get them than it did for Atkins or SB. Oh well! I was thinking about it (yes, hard to do with pounding in the head) and knowing it was from carb withdrawal, I had my Medifast bar for lunch instead of my soup since it had more calories and carbs...my headache went away and hasn't come back! Hopefully that will help if you get headaches when you start.

Heck yeah. Good to hear.

I got to thinking though and I'm going to go ahead and start. This week I'm on 8 hour shifts then Sunday I go back to 12 hrs. So, for the sake of my coworkers I think I can keep it up at work then just punish my family when I get home.

I'll definately take a bar with me and some Excedrin, just in case.

I'm trying a trick with the pickles and black olives(when I cover my fat intake). I'm cutting then into smaller pieces so I don't slam them down all at once and can enjoy them a little longer. I did it with the pickles today and it seemed to work.

Well, I better go weigh in so I can get my ticker. My 14 yr. old is also going to help me find an avatar. OMG I am a total tech joke. Oh well, just like the weight, I'll get there in time.
