Default It's Friday

Good morning all. I got the sb book yesterday, and haven't read any of it yet. I thought I would start today, I'm excited about figuring this whole thing out. Also Eleni- what did you mean your one free weigh in? I'm not aware of this. We can all do this. We can win this battle. One day at a time. You all take care and have a great day. Pounds be gone. Tops hugs me.

WRB - what is the sb book? Is this something I should read too?

I feel I've read every book there's been written about weight loss.
Surely looking forward to my first TOPS magazine, have looked through a few old ones, and they were very motivating.

Have lost 5.5 lbs. in my first 2 wks. with TOPS, and have cut my food intake in half. Following WWatchers food plan pretty well, but not eating as much as I have for the past 15 yrs., and it feels real good....

More veggies, less carbos....makes it easy...

Default sb (sugar busters)

Well Sherri, and Christie know more about this than I do, but basically cutting down the refinned sugars in your diet. Not eating certain foods that contain a lot of sugar. Eating more protein, whole wheat products, and foods with 3 or less sugar in them. I don't follow the plan exactly, and I'm losing weight.
I still eat some white flour stuff, and chips (wow kind, pretzel, but I'm not eating as much of these, and I can tell a difference. If you get the book ( i got it from the library) it will tell more. There also is a little shoppers guide, I have it, but haven't read it throughly. There also is a sb forum here on 3fatchicks.com You can check that one out too. Sherri is following both plans ww's and the sugar buster plan. I hopr this helps you out some.

Wendy,

What eleni is talking about is a free weigh in pass. I took her idea and used it in my chapter as well. What you do is make everyone a pass. I did it on the computer and copied and pasted the TOPS logo on the top of the pass. This pass is good for one free weigh in. When you use it you take a turtle for the weigh in. It was made so that people that have had a terrible week still can come and weigh in and not have a gain for that week. It is better to come when you are doing bad then not come at all. So hopefully it will make people come to the meetings if they are having a bad week or something like that. What we do is we issue them every 6 months and you have 6 months to use it. You can only use it once and we don't let people weigh in to see what they did before they choose to lose it. So if they think they had a bad week and actually lost then they would still have to take a turtle for the week because they chose to use the pass. You can still get weighed in so you know where you are at but you have to register a turtle for that week. We haven't had hardly anyone use the pass in our chapter. I was going to use it once and I lost my pass. Couldn't find it anywhere. We did have 1 person use the pass so far and that isn't much.

Kermie,

Wendy summed up the SB plan pretty well. She is right I do both plans because in order for me to lose weight I have to weigh and measure my food so that is what I do. I love the plan though I actually went down 1 whole size in 4-6 weeks time. So I look at it like this. SB plan trims inches and the WW plan trims the lbs. So together I am getting thinner all over.LOL

I am having a good day. I am back on plan for the day but I will be off plan for dinner. I started the exercise again for the week this morning and did 30 min aerobics. I have my spirit back and I am ready to get serious again. I wasted 2 whole days and I am back now. I love losing every week it keeps me going. Every little bit adds up and gets us closer to our goals.

Eleni,

That was good thinking on your part to use your pass. You have to throw out all the garbage in your house and start over. You will have a great week this week. Get back on track and you will make it.

Summer,

That goes for you to woman. You have to get rid of all the temptations. If they are not there then you won't eat them. I know you both have choc. candy stashed.LOL

Christie,

Congratulations on the loss girl. You are doing great also. How did marissa do last night? Did she have a loss also? I am sure she did. You need to stop straying like me and we have to get back on the ball. We were doing so well. I know it doesn't take long to get off track. But we are woman and we can jump back on that wagon at any time. I am with you. I am going to stop goofing off before I start gaining it back what I have been working for.

Have a great day everyone.

CoCo,

Haven't heard from you. How is everything going with you? Are you still doing the SB? How much did you lose this week? I know you must have had a loss.

CC,

How goes it with you to? How is the job coming? Are you starting to like it? How much longer until you start your part time hours?

Bye,

Sherri

Hi everyone,

It looks like most of you have been having some good losses. I think I am finally getting back on track. I've been counting my WW points again and lost .75 lbs at weigh in today.

Sherri...How does that free weigh in pass work on the weight recorders books. Does the weight recorder just put you down as a turtle and how does it make a difference in next weeks weight recording? I hope these questions don't sound too stupid. It sounds like a good idea and may get members to come and weigh in when they think they have a large gain. Also, is it allowed in contests?

CC....Love that T shirt Graphic.

Boots.....I enjoyed our lunch today. Jump in here and join us. This is a great group of women and it is like having another TOPS Chapter.

Til later

Nita

Well my daughter has a sleepover at our house tonight so there is no rest for the wicked around here tonight! LOL, I must be the wicked one as DH is tucked in and lights out for the night. But you wanna talk about Ever Ready bunnies, those girls just keep going and going..................... My son is (really, I am not joking) at a juggling conference in Minneapolis. (My hobby calls it clown college)

So,
Sherri- I love my job, it is so interesting it is unbelievable! (Except for the people who want an all-inclusive trip for 6 to a 5 star beachfront hotel in Cancun for under $1000 CAD) I am planning a Sandals wedding right now (with my bosses help) for a wonderful couple and it is so cool! Today I searched for hours for a last minute flight for 2 to Palm Springs and the guy I was dealing with was incredibely sweet. I had no luck in finding availability in his price range but he is now spending 2 nights in Vegas and renting a car and visiting his pal in Palm Springs for less than his Airfare only to PSP or LAX would have been. He thanked me from here to Timbuktu (better find out exactly where that is in case some one wants to book........) and is thoroughly impressed with me. So different from working the flightline which is totally timeline and pressure driven with little thanks for incredible effort and teamwork. I still have a ton of stuff to learn but it is GREAT!!!! I attend the Addison Trade Show on he 6th and we are comped beyond belief! My gas, parking and dinner are all covered! I have another seminar to attend the following Weds as well so I am going to miss kickboxing but my instructor is allowing make up classes at the Ladies Only gym in the morning. WHOOWHO!

Nita, Thanks for the graphic compliment, I think the ladies in our Club will get a kick out of it. How is hubby doing? You are both still in my prayers and thoughts, big hug to you!

Wendy, You go Girl! It is really great to have (yet) another positive voice on the board, love your writings and keep up the most excellent posts! You have it within you to achieve anything you deem possible.

Kermie, you seem to be one busy lady! How are classes going? Figured out your personality type yet? Pretty cool stuff.

Summer, added 4 more miles to my odometer! Start growing that coffee tree I WILL get there!

Bev, I am thinking of you too, I hope everything is working out for you.

Well, the little darlin's are yodeling for popcorn and Digimon, so I have to run, (like always I could blab and blab) Donna, Christie, Eleni, Coco and everyone else who is a part of this wonderful TOPS family,

Have a great Weekend!
