Morning all...well its offiial. I'm out of the 170's. Down another pound today to 169 :c arrot:
Very happy. Its a slow but stead process. Almost to the 20lb mark.
Hope everyone has a great day. Time for work and coffee (:
I can't say that today will b a good day. Yesterday was my 5 year old Chihuahua Sassy's birthday and she was killed by a teenager illegaly riding a dirt bike into our culdesac. My heart is broken and I may never get over it. I have cried until I think I have no more tears. I couldn't sleep hoping it was just a dream, but it wasn't. At least I still have part of her in her son that we still have. I have posted his pic before. He, too, is devasted and kept barking at her wanting her to get up. You could see the tears in his eyes. I am so emotionally drained that I need to lie down, but I will catch up with you later.
Aww, Renee...I'm SO sorry for you. It's just heartbreaking, and her poor litlle boy...((hugs)) and hope that time will ease your pain, sweetie.
Patricia..Awesome!!! so happy for you to be in the 60's!!! Hope your day at work is better than yesterday.
Alicia...Daisy did fine, she hates it there though. He left her a little too long, she looks like a puffy poodle, lol, but she's a bichon. I was debating whether to call him to cut her shorter, but Cadence says she looks like a princess. Guess I'll just leave it alone.
Well, gotta get Cadence dressed...she has her V-
Day party today (she's so excited, of course she's giving Hannah Montana valentines's!!) So I better roll. will check in later.
Renee, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Hugs to you!
Pmasci, have a great day!
I am about to do my Slim in 6 workout here in a couple minutes. I had a PT appt with my trainer yesterday and also did 35 minutes of cardio. I did my weekly measurements and I've lost 3.5 inches since last week. I get to weigh in next week. I hope the results are below the 200 mark! I promised my trainer I'd stay off my scale for two weeks, I'm a bit obsessed with my scale, so this is quite a challenge, but so far I've managed to stay off of it for a week! Later today I'm taking my dd to music class, that's all that is planned today. Have a great day all!
Hi Everybody, I've really missed checking in with you guys daily, its taken a toll on me. I've gotten way off track, stopped logging my food, been skipping meals and snacks, overeating at night before bed, isn't that the kiss of death? I feel sooooolow, I don't know if its because I'm tired or it's that TOM. My hubby says I need to go have a blood work up done to be proactive, I really need to go to the GYN. I haven't had a checkup since my soon to be 5 yr old was 1, I'm just in a state of who really gives a crap right now. Does that make sense to anyone? Not to mention that yesterday and today all the kids are home from school due to ice covered roads, and they'll probably be home tomorrow too, we're not due to melt down til later tomorrow, and this is a rural place, back roads don't get cleaned so buses can't traverse them. My 7 yr old is enough to send me packing for the nuthouse, makes me wish I had to go to work. I ordered the TransFirmation system for the Firm yesterday, I'm hoping that something new will help me get my head together, plus I finished my taxes and I've got a nice chunk coming back so I should be getting my Recumbent within the next week or two at the most. Please pray for me girls that I get my act together SOON!!
Hanna, my back is better, thanks for asking, I think this was the cause of my setback not only physically but emotionally too.
Alicia, how is your leg feeling? Did you try rubbing some ice on the sore area? My kids have shin splints alot, we have them doing Yoga on a regular basis and doing ice massages for the affected leg. By the way, I love to read and watch those old movies so I don't think your a geek.
Renee, sorry to hear about Sassy, pets are family too.
Joan, glad to hear the bike is working out for you so well.
Arawagrl, Welcome!! Never heard of the Lemon Detox Diet, got more info?
Enigma, You're still 29!!!! NOOOOOOO, just kidding, love to have you here! I like to say I'm still 25, doesn't work like it used to. Welcome!!!
chunko, that name reminds me of "The Goonies", Kudos to you for the cleaning lady. I'm glad you can afford it, I wish I could, I know what you mean about not being able to do it cause of your back. Glad you're here.
Nikki, YOAD has good info, but I don't like the diet plan though, I really prefer the BFL eating plan. Welcome!
GG, those turkey burgers sound awesome! I hope work gets better soon, I'm sure it'll all work out for the best in the end. When the trouble makers leave it should improve the atmosphere. Glad all your hard work is paying off, you go girl!
Try to check in this evening, if I'm not sitting in my rocking chair going bububububububububububububububu, have you seen "Overboard", yeah, that would be me?
GG ~ YIPPEE!!!! I'm so happy for you Girl! You are working hard and it's paying off.
Renne ~ I'm so sorry:-(. What a blessing to have the puppy. I know that it doesn't make up for the loss of the mother though.
Pam ~ you sound like an awesome mom. Do you get asked to always bring the cookies to the kids parties? I was really bummed that the kids new elementary school won't allow homemade baked goods. I understand with all of the allergies that some kids have but still a shame. I'll never forget making homemade cookies for a party last year for DS's second grade class. One little girl was so excited about eating a homemade cookie. She'd never eaten one before and her reaction was so beautiful.
Heather -3.5 inches ~ excellent! That had to make your day. Good girl for staying off the scale for a whole week. Weighing too often sometimes does far more harm than good.
Speaking of scales... I weighed this morning and the scale isn't budging. I've been exercising more but my eating has been bad. My biggest problem is dinnertime and I nearly always take a second helping. I have got to stop that. We're having a party today after school for Annie and Brigid's buddies so I better get busy baking some cookies! I just had our carpets cleaned last week and am now wishing that I'd waited. I'm serving red Hawaian Punch... Time for me to go exercise first though. Have a great day everyone!
Yo Christina and Trish! Hi to the two of you also!
Christina ~ how'd it go at the doctor's? Also, so glad that the job is working out for Dominic.
Trish ~ I hear ya!! I need to get my act together too. I know all about spinning your wheels. We're here for you so keep coming *especially* when you're having a bad day. Hang in there Girlie. Good luck with the kiddies...
oh i forgot about the dr...thank you joan for reminding me!...ok..so im so excited...right now im finishing up my last week of 10 mg med..then the next refill i get will be 5 mg...i will take 5 mg for one month...on the 3rd week of my next refill i get blood work..if its good then the following refill will be 5 mg but then i take every other day...on that 3rd week i take blood again..if everything is ok im done and we see how it goes!...im sooooooo excited...i have high hopes that i will be done for the meantime...of course i for sure will have to take the meds later on in life...but for now...i hope i am done!
thanks for asking!
GG, congrats girl. BTW, we went out to eat last night and I got a turkery burger (I hear Pam cringing), it was kinda dry. Your turkey burger sounds pretty good though, I will have to try it.
Renee, big hugs to you. I had a Sassy once too. I still cry and get very emotional over her, no pet has ever taken her place in my heart.
Trish, it's hard to stay on track with so much going on. I haven't had my checkup since after DS was born. He's now 9. I keep telling myself I need to go. At least you got the taxes done, what a relief. Not to mention you will get your bike soon. Take care. BTW, the leg is better, but I have missed 2 days of walking.
Lauren, good luck tomorrow, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Hey Pam, hope Candace's party goes well. Is she dressing up?
Joan, my scale isn't budging either. I've increased my exercise. Also have problems with dinner and having seconds! It's so disappointing isn't it? Hang in there, I'm right there with ya. Have a good time with your valentines party this afternoon!
Lisa, Hi, enjoying your day off?
Heather, congrats on the inches!
Christina, cupcakes in ice cream cones, what a cute idea. Have a good day at work.
Dawn, getting ready for your trip?
Not much going on here. My DD is sick again today. Yesterday she seemed to be feeling much better, by this am though she was not doing good. Today is her birthday too :-(
Just curious, do any of you take supplements? If so which do you take and do they make you nauseous?
Hello to anyone I forgot. I think I got everyone though.
Okay all, I better go get a workout in or I never will get it in. I hope all have a great day!
GG congratulations! you have been working really hard at it, are you also seeing a big change in measurements?
Renee I am so sorry for you loss, I know here the puppies are a great part of my life, my heart goes out to you, I am in tears.
Pam have fun today!
Heather good for you on the loss of inches, that is great news, stay away from the scale, it does no good to keep getting on it, other than drive you crazy, been there done that.
Christina good to see you, I am glad you had fun a the V party, and I am happy for you for feeling better!
Trish I think you DH is right, it is not a bad idea to go to the Dr. and have a full work up, it is great you had not had to go to the Dr. but everyone year you should go get a full check up, specially OBG in my opinion.
Joan have a good time, I hope you carpets stay nice and clean.
Lauren best of luck w/resumes, keep us posted.
Enigma
Heather I am so jealous of your cleaning lady, I miss mine, she left to go back to Peru where she is from, I have been doing all the cleaning at home, I have not done that in years, I started using all "green" products when she left. I get very nervous of training someone else to come and clean and the only reason is I have this trust thing leaving people in my house alone, but I am ready for it, I have to find someone else to do the dirty job! LOL. When is your mini vacation?
Well today it has been already a busy day, I am getting all the stuff baked for V-day for school and for the party I have here on Saturday, Sean wants to pass cookies out in the neighborhood so I have to bake a little more. DH did go to the dentist yesterday and oh my G-d he needs so much work, I can't believe it, and it is so freaking expensive the dentist gave him an estimate of $30K he needs to have a lot of word done, he said he is going to think about it, I have no idea what to say. But if he needs it he needs to get it done, I guess.
Today is one of those days for me, I have to do the dreaded filling, I have little piles of paperwork here in the office and they are driving me wacco! time to get it done before it gets worst, the part I am looking forward to is all the stuff that gets thrown away! I love the feeling when it is all done, but I don't like doing it!
I have an interview Friday! It's a long term temp position, which they didn't mention in the ad though. And it only pays .50/hr. more than my last temp job, which is still much less than I'm used to, but it's in my town, less than 5 minutes from home! If nothing else, it's better than unemployment and I can continue to look for something.
GG, meant to tell you CONGRATS earlier!! How exciting!!
Hanna, WOW, 30K in dental work!! What does he need done?! Have fun baking!
Alicia, I don't take any supplements except my Zrytec & happy pill! I can't even seem to get a multi-vitamin in me!
Christina, GL with the meds!
Joan, GL with the party! Can you keep the drinks in the kitchen!?
Trish, Go to the GYN and get it over with! It took me 1 1/2 yrs. after #2 was born to get back. I've been putting off a mammogram too. I haven't had one before, but my MW gave me an Rx for one in June...which I lost and she gave me another one last week.
Hi everyone - hope that you are having a good day.
Lauren - congratulations on the interview - being close to home will be really nice!
Hannah - paperwork does not sound like fun, but I know what you mean about feeling good about it being done. Handing out cookies in the neighborhood sounds like fun.
Alicia - I just take a women's multivitamin - store brand even. It hasn't made me feel sick and I have been taking it for a few years. I still need to pack my stuff - and find DS birth certificate to travel. Mentally, I am ready to go!
Joan - have fun with the party!
Trish - I wish that we had our taxes done - that's cool that you have enough coming back to you to buy a bike.
Hi Christina!
Sapphire - congrats on the inches lost!
Pam - how was the party at Cadence's school? Can't wait have some stuff like that to go to.
Renee - so sorry to hear about the puppy...what an awful thing to have happen.
GG - congrats on the weightloss!
My folks came yesterday afternoon and left late this a.m. Did pretty well at my stepmom's birthday dinner...stayed within in my calories for the day! Got my workout in after the folks left and DS down for a nap. A nap sounds pretty good to me right now, too!
