Good morning!

Up earlier than usual again with DS and cartoons. Not much else going here today. Laundry, work out and trying to get DS to nap! We have decided to visit my MIL in a couple of weeks in AZ, so I need to try on summer clothes (hoping they will just fall off LOL) and then see if DS's short, etc. still fit.

Have a great day everyone! I will check back in later...

I can't believe there is only one post so far.

Today I have to sit through two different trainings. The first one will probably be a bore. It is just training on administering our state's alternate test for the kiddos who can't handle the regular one. I have to sit through it every year. That one is in the morning. I then teach this afternoon and then after school go to another one. The one this afternoon should be interesting. It is on a intervention program we have started to use. Needless to say it will be a long day.

Have a great one!!!

morning all...well i slept well. I probably slep almost 11 hrs. But honestly...i needed it. I haven't had a lot of sleep during the conference. Today i have off..which is good. So i've got laundry to do, clean some house, run some errands and visit the pony. .....once i get moving LOL. Hard to be motivated since its sooo cold outside.

Holli- i swear by airbourne to help keep away the yuckie germs. I take one daily...i put it in one of my waters a day...adds flavor to the water and helps keep the crude away. And when i'm around someone who is sick..i take it 2-3 times a day....or i do the same if i'm feeling like i'm getting sice. I swear by it...its just a bunch of vitamin, essiantial Amino acids etc. But i had my friend take some on friday night because she was feeling flu like..and 24 hrs later she felt fine. She was shocked by it. I love the stuff.

Alright guys...going to try to get motivated...by all

Morning Everyone,
Hope that you are all having a great start to the day! I got up this morning and did my Walk and Kick DVD. Sure did work up a good sweat with that one! Then my dh made me breakfast of boiled eggs and a glass of orange juice. Got ready for work and then it starts to snow. All the schools around my district were on two hour delays when I left and now they are closed. I guess the only good thing about it is that when they have to make up days we will be enjoying our time.
Dawn sounds like you have a good game plan for the day. Hope you do find some summer clothes that fall right off of you. That means new clothes for you!
Jasmine enjoy your day of trainings. I know what you mean by it going to be a long day. That was how it was last Friday for me. Hope you can do something for yourself this evening when you get home.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you have a wonderful day! Chat with you all later.
Hope everyone stays on plan and gets some excerise today!
Kerry

Good Morning,
Wheweeee, is my tush ever sore this morning, I think I over did it on the squats yesterday. My hubby told me I'm crazy, I reminded him of what buns of steel look like, he simply smiled and walked away. Not so crazy after all huh? I'm eating every few hours and I feel like I'm eating plenty, that anymore would be too much but I'm still so stinking hungry all the time. I'm getting lots of good whole grain, lean protein, good fats, the only thing I'm really lacking on is probably the veggies. I eat a salad usually with my lunch and then have some kind of green veggie for dinner, I need to buy some more V-8, maybe that will help fill that gap in a little more. I don't count calories, I just try to make sure I get in good nutritious food everyday and that I eat often, but somedays I'm just HUNGRY! Might be in my head.
Hoping to stay with it today, I gotta go shopping for groceries and b-day party stuff and I have to go to the church to plan next months jail service and practice for service this Sun. at church. My Dad's birthday is this Sat. but due to the fact he has heart disease and is diabetic I told him not to expect a cake, plus I don't need the temptation either. The other party, lil man is going to for a friend so I don't have to worry about that one at all. I need to go buy some new clothes, my stuff is soooo worn out and I'm sooooo extremely cheap, plus trying on clothes makes me SICK, SICK, SICK! I inevitably have what I call my "fat girl melt down". I stand in the dressing room giving myself about ten different kinds of **** because things dont fit me like they do everyone else, because I didn't work out on this day or that day, because, because, because!!! Then I get so stressed out that I'm looking for the nearest Subway so I can buy chocloate chip cookies. Maybe no clothes shopping today. Alright I'm done acting like a nut job, maybe.......

Lauren, I hope your test went well, and hope mom is settled in.
GG, get some rest.
Joan, hope you feel better soon, you've got a new bike to ride. I laid down a few gentle hints to honey pie that my knees and back just can't keep taking the pounding of the treadmill day after day. Then batted my eyes oh so innocently, I think its working, it works on the cops.
Delta, we were talking about taking spring break with the kids in AZ this year, last year we'll all be together at that time of the year, since Josh will be off to college.

Everyone else, have a good one today I'll try to check in later and let ya'll know how I survived but big sis has a game tonight so I may just be running in and out all day. Be Good!!! Trish

Yikes! We're having another snow day and I don't even have time to read posts! (Gotta keep the kids busy because they're officially stir-crazy - and so am I!!! I can't wait to go for my hike tonight if it's not too icy!)

Just wanted to say hello and tell everyone to have a great day! Wish me luck, I'm having a hard time managing my plan... but I haven't fallen off the wagon, thank God! I'm just really not expecting any loss this week.

Here's to a great day for us all - I hope!

trish...i would recommend buying clothes at goodwill/salvation army. I know when i drop to my next size (not my ultimate size)...that's where i'm going. You can find some good clothes for CHEEP...and most are in excellent shape. You just have to look some. But for me, i think its worth it since i don't want to spend a fortune on clothes that i then move into the next size. trust me, it really does help. Also, don't forget alter things. Ifyou have wide hips and get what i like to call "butt pocket" the gap at the waist...a great tailor and around $10 can make it look awesome. Remember alters are a girls best friend. I have a big chest and have to buy size 18-20 shirts (i'm a pant size 12 almost 10) so i usually have a good alter take in the waist of the shirt so its fitted and doesnt look like i'm swimming in the shirt. just remember buy what fits and alter the areas that are to big...so what if you aren't a size 2..buy what fits and then make it fit perfect (:

Mornin' Gals (and Dudes),

Delta ~ You're doing so well with your exercise that I'm sure those clothes will fall right off you. AZ sounds so nice right about now... I'm sick of winter!

Jasmine ~ Sounds like a long day ahead. Just keep in mind that tomorrow is TGIF and hang in there.

GG ~ 11 hours! You must have needed the sleep in a bad way. I'm glad that you have today off and can recuperate a bit. BTW, thanks for the tip about Airbourne. Every morning I take a drink "EmergenC" in my water. I thought that it'd keep colds away but DH and I are both still sick. Time to switch to Airbourne.

Kerry ~ You go Girl! You're starting out every day with exercise. Can you already tell a difference? Your spirits seem so high these days. Good for you!!

Trish ~ sounds like you're following the same plan as me. I don't count calories either but try to eat good, nutritious food (and less of it than I used to!) thru out the day. I know that I'd lose weight faster if I did count calories but been there, done that, yada, yada, yada... I've lost weight only to regain it because I didn't make permanent changes in my lifestyle. So, I think that you're doing swell and keep battin' those eyelashes and you'll get that bike in no time flat;-).

Megan ~ another snow day, eh? We haven't had one yet. Call me crazy but I love snow days as much as the kids do. Not too often though LOL. BTW, you've lost a lot of weight and you've shared how you plan your food and stick to it each day but what do you do for exercise? Do you exercise at home? Gym? Any tips you're willing to give, please bring them on...

DH is sick again today. That man hardly ever gets sick but this has hit him hard. I've been drinking water like crazy and AF arrived today. I feel better than I did but not 100% healthy yet. We have a very busy weekend ahead and now I'm wondering if I'm nuts to stick to the schedule. I've been keeping up with the laundry but that is it. My house needs to be cleaned, I need to get groceries and cook dinner for company over the weekend. I'm seriously considering re-scheduling to next weekend... I'm going to wait and see how I feel later today. Time to make another cup of tea. Hugs to all ~ Joan

P.S. Alicia ~ did you ever try Melatonin with your son? I remember mentioning it to you before but can't remember if you tried it. My DS is a night owl as well and we give him one 3 or 5 mg. of Melatonin each night anytime after 7:30 p.m. It has worked wonders for him.

Wow, lots of posts for 10 am!! Glad to "see" everyone today!

I think I was almost on target yesterday. If I went over, it wasn't by much. YIPPEE! I'm hoping to do better today. I'm feeling the most motivated I've felt in a while....I talk a good talk most days....sometimes I'm just not feelin' it though. Took out Hamburger meat for tonight (93% lean). Think we're having burgers tonight. Today, I'm having a healthy choice cafe steamer....something with chicken and alfredo sauce. 240 cal and 5 fat grams. Plus I brought to work with me some ff chips and some popcorn, just in case I get the munchies.

GG, wow...I don't think I've had 11 straight hours of sleep since my son was born 9 1/2 years ago! I have to have atleast 8 though or I get a headache. My body just requires it.....my husband can go on 5-6 hours/night. You know how cranky I'd be?
I buy clothes at Goodwill also...not because I'm buying so many because I'm losing weight so fast, but it's just a better deal! I still buy new, too, but you can't beat a goodwill bargain!

Trish, I know what you mean about being hungry...and I do think it's psychological. It usually takes me 2-3 days of sticking strictly to my plan before my hunger kindof subsides some....but I know for 2-3 days, I'll be famished all day, everyday. I remember the first time I ever tried to diet....it was almost like a drug addict coming down off of their drug of choice. I literally didn't think I was going to make it thru that time period. My husband had to help me stay VERY busy to keep myself from eating. Once I got past that initial time, though, it has gotten easier when I fall off the wagon to get back on. I think I'm probably addicted to food.

Hello to everyone I missed! I'm at work and need to get back at it. Hope you all have a GREAT on target day! Later taters!!

Default helloooo

Well, Starting over.... somehow I pushed a combination of buttons that closed my dialog box. Oh well...
Down another pound! Yaaay!

Hi Delta- We saw the Golden Compass. I really liked it. Husband says he liked it, but he would probably only admit it to me and a few close friends.

Wow! Summer clothes. Up here, our summer clothes are the same as our winter clothes. We just don't wear coats. That's not totaly true. I have one pair of shorts. I wear them three or four times. Mostly I wear Capris. It's not so much the weather... it's the Mosquitoes. That's our state bird you know. They'll pick you up and carry you off if you stand still long enough.

Well, I gotta get going. Keep losing every one! Next week will be better!

Hey guys!

Trish: I'm right there with you, starving ALL the time it seems. Well, except for about an hour after I eat. I know I'm eating plenty, yesterday I had almost 1600 calories and I'm spreading them out, trying not to hold off all day then shove them in before bed. So far today I've had 339, so I'm going for something a little heartier for lunch (OK, it'll be a salad, but I'll make sure the lettuce isn't spoiled BEFORE I make it today ).

DD: I hope those clothes just fall right off!!

Kerry: whew, what a busy day.

GG: 11 hours? Wow, that must have been awesome. The kids have been coming into our bed every night lately and I'm the one that has to snuggle and hold them. DH is in for a surprise tonight 'cause I intend to sleep downstairs and let him have night duty! I will have to try the airborne daily thing. I bought some, but have not tried it yet. We were passing around a cold a few weeks.

ekstatikia: Good luck keeping the kids entertained! Snow days sound like fun!

dangergirl: Yuck on the mosquitoes. I can't even imagine. We had them so bad last summer I kept the kids in most of the time. Cass really reacts to them and they would still bite her with Off! on.

I think Cass is hitting the terrible twos early. She has started throwing toys, hitting and spitting. She got her very first time out yesterday. She didn't like it at all! Alright, the dryer is calling me, rigid taskmaster that it is!! Have a great day!
