Thanks to all for the cards I have received, I have been extremely dismal about returning them and for that I apologize. Please read the attached and consider it a special Christmas wish!! I appreciate each and every one of you and hope you have a happy and blessed holiday.....

A CHILD'S LETTER TO SANTA

Snowflakes softly falling,
Upon your window pane,
With your blanket snug around,
In sleep you drift away;
I bend to softly kiss you,
When I see there on the floor,
A letter, so neatly written,
I wonder who its for;
So quietly I unfold it,
Making sure you're still asleep,
It's a Christmas list for Santa Claus,
One my heart will always keep;
It started just as always,
With toys seen on TV,
A new watch for your father,
And a winter coat for me;
But as my eyes kept reading,
I saw how deep inside,
There were many things for which you wished,
Your little heart did hide;
You asked if your friend Molly,
Could have another Dad,
Seems the one she has hits her,
And makes you very sad;
And then you asked dear Santa,
If our neighbors down the street,
Might find a job so they could have,
Some food, some clothes and heat;
You saw a family on the news,
Whose house had blown away,
"Dear Santa, send them just one thing,
A place where they can stay;"
"And Santa, those four cookies,
I left you as a treat,
Could you take them to the little kids,
Who have nothing else to eat;"
"And do you know my little bear,
The one I love so dear,
I'm leaving it for you to take,
To Bosnia this year;"
"And as you fly your reindeer high,
This night of Jesus' birth,
Could your magic bring to all,
Goodwill and Peace on Earth;"
"There's one last thing before you go,
So grateful would I be,
If you'd smile at Baby Jesus,
In that manger by our tree;"
I pulled that letter close to me,
And felt it melt my heart,
Those tiny hands had written down,
What no other could impart;
"And a little child shall lead them,"
Twas the whisper in my ear,
As I watched you sleep on Christmas Eve,
While Santa Claus was here.
