Default A present for yourself

This month I have so far survived two periods, and only slipped on my calorie intake once. I have been exercising all but one. And took in my designated water all but one. Instead of rewarding myself to a sweet treat (my biggest weakness, by far), I indulged in a book and some body wash. Although I have not lost weight in the past week, in fact, gained a pound (I blame this on two periods, so I'm not taking it as hard as I usually would), I have been working my booty off.

How do you reward yourself for your hard work?

P.S.
If you love bath products like I do, I just want to pass a great one along: Neutrogena Rain Bath. It smells so good and clean, and it leaves your skin all soft and silky. It's worth the few extra dollars if you can afford to splurge every few months on it!

I try to do something small every week that I stay on plan... new tunes for my iPod, DVD, manicure, perfume, purse...

I have some bigger purchases planned for bigger milestones. When I get to 50 lbs lost I plan to buy a new LCD TV. And for 100 lbs lost I plan to buy a convertible, ok so I was planning to buy the convertible anyway but now I'm forcing myself to wait until I lose 100 lbs.

Oh, I like the rainbath also. And I can relate to your situation, I have been having the same problem for almost three months now... I have a dr appt about this next week.

LOL my biggest problem is that I "reward" myself for everything all the time! hence the 300 pounds! hahahahaha I'm not a big fan of denying myself anything, "ice cream??? SURE!" "new shoes??? SURE!" LOL but I'm trying to stay away from the food that's for sure!!! My next big purchase will be a treadmill -- OMG how humiliating that I weigh too much for a 250 lbs. limit treadmill OMG!!!!

I try to do a little something nice for myself every day. After years of not treating myself well and thinking bad thoughts about me and my body, I am trying to undo all that negative thinking and make sure I'm being kind to myself. It can be super tiny, like reading a few chapters of a book I'm really into or doing my nails or breaking out the self tanner etc.

When I reached 50lbs lost my mom took me out and I got "the works" pedicure, including little sparkly jewels on my toenails. DH and I just went and dropped almost a grand on rock climbing gear and I'm counting that as a big reward for losing so much thus far.

Along the way I've done books, makeup, manicures, body wash (love Bath and Body works aromatherapy line).

I haven't been doing clothing rewards simply because I'm not wearing them very long. I buy what I need, when I need it, and call it good.

I have all kinds of little treats along the way - mainly books. However, my "goal" reward is going to be a skydive. Can't wait!!!

I'm one of those Mom's who never buys anything for herself. Yesterday, Bath & Bodyworks had their plug-in air fresheners on sale for $5. I've been wanting one in a delicious sexy fragrance for our bedroom. Since I had stayed on-plan all week, I felt like I "deserved" a little something special. BTW, my room smells great!

When I hit onederland (notice I said when, not if), I'm going to go to Hawaii with my snorkel, fins, and mask, and I'm going to have enough jingle in my jeans to buy a new bathing suit at Hawaii prices!

When I hit the 20lb lost mark, I bought a new ring! My rings were sliding off because my fingers were shrinking and I felt like something new. It's a gold right hand ring with diamonds

Maybe earrings at the 40lb mark? lol

I just spent a small fortune on the Nikon D80 - my justification was that I can chart my weight loss with it lol

Other than that - tomorrow I'm going to get my hair trimmed I rarely bother taking care of it and last had it cut in march so figured I'd treat myself

I reward myself with clothes. I've always loved clothes shopping anyways, but its especially fun when you're buying smaller sizes!!

I haven't yet decided what my big reward for being at ultimate goal is yet. Hopefully it will be a boyfriend lol....

Yay for rock climbing Outland! It's my new favorite sport.

I forgot to mention what I'm going to do for the big goal. DH and I are saving for a trip to Vegas and a shopping spree while we're there. I've never been to Vegas and always wanted to go. And I can't reach my goal weight and not shop, so I figured we'd combine the two.

I buy Lush cosmetics. Actually they don't really have make-up, it's all soaps and washes and bath stuff. It is ridiculously expensive but it's something I've never done for myself (can you say Ivory soap?) so it's a real treat and very girly, too.
