Hey Lillian and Aymster,
Sorry I didn't get your mail until tonight.....for some crazy reason, it got sent to the wrong folder when downloaded...but I can fix that.

Saw my internist today who "fussed" in Feb. about my weight, and he was so very happy to see me losing. I have also gone down another 3 lbs. since posting. Getting off of vacation in Alaska and out of restaurants and a car helped. I do have health problems and IBS....doc gave me something new that could help some of you with IBS out there....over the counter and new....called ALIGN. BTW......if any of you have ever taken ZELNORM....you need to flush them down the commode....they can cause heart attacks. Remember those cutsy commercials on TV that showed the flat midriff with the belly button, and talked about bloating? Well, Zelnorm is off the market.
I DID take it at one time, but it gave me gas so bad, it was embarrassing.

Anyone found any good veggie recipes or meat recipes for LA? Can't afford the cookbook yet....have to go up to Mayo Clinic on Jan. 29th for some tests.
It will be my 5th visit....and I pray they get to the bottom of things this time.
My neck, DDD, TMJ, and bone spurs are giving me fits, but they are reluctant to do anything invasive. I even have nerve entrapment and my tongue burns on the left side where my tmj is worse.

Got to go.....I love LA......the counselors are great.
Thanks for the encouragement and keep me in your prayers for Mayo.

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you're doing a great job with your new plan, so keep up the good work!

Have you checked your local library for the cookbook? I've found great cookbooks at the library.

Glad you've come to join us!

Default LA Cookbook

I took a look at the cookbook on Ebay a couple of weeks ago and folks were putting that bid up there to the new price! WOW!

It is a costly cookbook, and it looks like there should be ways to get the recipes easier. At WW, they just send them out on email weekly, and I even still get them. It was so nice of our local group leader to do that, even tho they had many cookbooks I am sure.

My office will mention a recipe and go copy if off for me sometimes, but really all I would like are the meats, breads, and desserts. I can manage the other things ok.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
