Smile New here

And looking for some motivational tips. I'll give a little history on myself..

I'm a 24yr old stay at home mom of two boys. I've always been on the heavy side but in the past couple years it's been packing on.. A couple years ago I started a strick diet and lost 35lbs. But since then I've gained it all back and have I have become depressed about it.. I'm not quite 300lbs yet but I wanted to nip this in the butt before I do. I don't want a quick fix I want ideas on how to achieve long term results and life changes. Thanks everyone in advance for your help!

Welcome MakinChanges!
I'm pretty new here too. The biggest Motivational tip I can give you is: Stick around! And don't be so hard on yourself. There are a lot of great folks here, going through the same thing you are, so your not alone. We're all here in this weightloss journey together.
See ya around! kitty

Hello and welcome! Your history sounds a bit like mine. I've always been a big girl, then I had babies and got fat. A couple years ago I lost some weight, and more importantly for me, I gained a lot of self-confidence. But, I felt so good about myself on the inside that I didn't care anymore about being fat and gained it all back and some bonus pounds, too. Anyway, I knew I needed to do something when even my fat clothes were getting too tight. I got on the scale and weighed 293!!

I've stopped and started programs over the past couple years, but never stuck with anything. I started posting here earlier this month and I've found it to be very supportive and a good place to get inspiration when the road ahead of me seems so very long. I'm two weeks into this, and have lost about 6 pounds and I feel confident I can stick with it because I know where to come when I need a boost.

Best wishes!

Hi and Welcome Makinchanges.
I am a SAHM too, and also gained more weight after my children. But my oldest is 17 and my youngest is 9 so no more excuses. I know it is hard being stuck at home with kids. Do you have access to a car? Can you take them to the playground daily? Something where you are out of the house for a while? For snacks try and have healthy snacks around, because it is good for them and you.
I think it is great that you have made the decision to do this, and if you work hard and believe in yourself anything is possible.

I'm new, too, and I'm hoping all these success stories and people going through the same things I am are going to be pretty darn motivational.
