Default Question about Subway nutrition

DH brought home Subway for lunch -- my standard is 6" turkey breast and ham on wheat with swiss cheese. Subway provides pretty good nutritional information but it's not *perfect.*

They don't offer a way to add up the components individually, plus they don't differentiate between Italian and wheat bread.

I don't get vegetables on my sandwich -- I know, I know, but I love plain sandwiches, so that changes the nutritional values right away. Plus, I know that wheat bread has more fiber than Italian (because they offer stats for the bread alone).

Basically, I can get precise info for the bread and the cheese, but not for the meat itself.

Anyone know where I can get more specific info, or should I just drop the superficial nature of this whole thing?

Their website does have the information for the individual stuff. If you go to the printer friendly nutrition info and scroll to pages 3 and 4 list the nutrition for breads, condiments, veggies, cheese, and meat. I love subway. Its so much easier to get a filling meal there without worrying too much about the nutrition. At jack in the box the only thing I feel safe to get for lunch is their southwest chicken pita (230 calories) and wendys has a few low cal options on their value menu like the side salads and the small chili, but thats about it for fast food.

I don't get veggies on my subs either, but I don't worry about whether or not they are included in the calorie counts since they're veggies--a very low-cal ingredient to the sandwich. Also, it tells you what types of bread it includes in the sandwich nutritional value (I think it's the white and Italian or something), so what I do is check the bread I get and compare it to the bread it already includes and just adjust the calories to make up the difference (for example, if the sandwich is 300 calories with a 200-calorie bread included, and the bread I had was 215 calories, then I make the sandwich total 315 calories).

This might sound confusing, but it's actually very easy, and I only had to do the math once since I always get the same sandwich, so I entered it into Fitday as a custom food.

Thank you both!! I just entered all the individual amounts into Fitday. I always get the same sandwich, so I won't have this problem again.
