Question Sushi - Veggie Rolls

Hey All,

I am new here and have tons of questions but will start with my sushi.. I know that the whole point of this diet is to get your mind and body to where it is craving the right foods. BUT... do you think it is ok for me to have veggie rolls with the carrots/cucumbers and brown rice?? I am sure I should not be eating the soy sauce but what about the wasabi??? I rarely use the soy sauce anyway!!

Also are we allowed to use sugar substitutes in Phase I.. The book is just a bit TOO simple for me.

I'm not a big sugar eater anyway, as far as in my coffee etc goes, but I do like it in my iced tea, I'm from Alabama, until I moved to Los ANgeles, I didnt know tea came in any other flavor besides sweet! I know some ladies are using 1-2 splenda packets a day, and some recipes, especially Asian ones call for some sweetener. What exactly are the veggie rolls? White rice, seaweed and veggies inside them? I would just not eat the white rice portion. I think wasabi<the real stuff, not the american version of it>, is fine since its a spice/herb/condiment. I could be wrong though

Hi -

I do eat the vegetarian rolls made w/ brown rice 2-3 times a week and I do use the wasabi and a bit of soy but I don't drown them in the soy because of the added salt. It didn't hurt my loss at all. Good luck! Lem
