Default Turbo Cooker??

I don't usually watch infomercials but saw one on the Turbo Cooker yesterday. Has anyone bought one of these? If so, do you like it? It looked like a good product on tv but was kinda pricey. Anyone know of a cheaper place to purchase it?
Thanks, Dee (PoohsHunny)

Isn't it nothing more than an old fashioned pressure cooker?

that's what i thought it was too. but it is fun to watch them cook....

my favorite one is the cookware where you heat it for a few moments and then leave it alone. that is tempting, but i'm too cheap to buy it. hee hee

I got one for my birthday and no, they aren't really like pressure cookers. They really are just oddly shaped no-stick pans. Stuff cooks fast because of the shape and the steam. I made a couple of things that were really good in it...including the WW cola chicken. BUT I started running out of ideas and you get very few recipes with it. I don't know if I'd but it again but then.... if I took the time to try more stuff, maybe.

Does anyone have the one where you put something in, heat it up and then let it cook? I'd be interested in some reports about it.

what kind of recipes were you able to come up with? I've got one and have used it maybe twice in the 2 years I've had it.. the recipes it came with are not at all WW friendly.. any suggestions?
