Turbo Cooker??

  • I don't usually watch infomercials but saw one on the Turbo Cooker yesterday. Has anyone bought one of these? If so, do you like it? It looked like a good product on tv but was kinda pricey. Anyone know of a cheaper place to purchase it?
    Thanks, Dee (PoohsHunny)
  • Isn't it nothing more than an old fashioned pressure cooker?
  • that's what i thought it was too. but it is fun to watch them cook....

my favorite one is the cookware where you heat it for a few moments and then leave it alone. that is tempting, but i'm too cheap to buy it. hee hee
  • I got one for my birthday and no, they aren't really like pressure cookers. They really are just oddly shaped no-stick pans. Stuff cooks fast because of the shape and the steam. I made a couple of things that were really good in it...including the WW cola chicken. BUT I started running out of ideas and you get very few recipes with it. I don't know if I'd but it again but then.... if I took the time to try more stuff, maybe.
  • Does anyone have the one where you put something in, heat it up and then let it cook? I'd be interested in some reports about it.
  • ME Too!
  • I love mine- Well, my husbands.lol I bought it for him for Christmas. It's all i ever cook in now days. Made up some GREAT recipes for it.
  • what kind of recipes were you able to come up with? I've got one and have used it maybe twice in the 2 years I've had it.. the recipes it came with are not at all WW friendly.. any suggestions?
