Hi all! All this talk of mean mils has made me wonder what my dils would say about me! LOL I try to be a good mil though it is not always easy as there are times when no matter what I say or do, I get into trouble. With one I have had a sorta of love/hate relationship. But I think things are getting better now. God is changing both of us.
Today has been a nice day...started out cloudy as most here do but the sun is shining now. I worked at home this am...I am doing my home blessing a little each day again this week. Only have the living room, kitchen/dining room and family room left. Today I cleaned the office and a little in the bathrooms. So pretty easy. Then I went grocery shopping. We are now set with groceries for the week although we will probably go to Costco in a few days as we buy different things there when we use their coupons.
My scale continues to be nicer to me...not really losing much but at least staying at the lower end of my recent range. Still not down to my sig weight though. I've been very good today so hope I continue to be good tonight. We will be in church part of the evening so that will help. My pastor has recently lost 50 lbs and he is a great inspiration to me. He said some things about how he finally did it that really spoke to me. He said (in my words) that he finally decided to really focus on his goal and that he would eat a certain way (his eating plan) all the time, no matter where he was. That's what I need to do. No matter who is around me, no matter what they are eating, no matter where I am.
Finished my fiction book today so will be selecting another one from my vast store of unread books. Almost finished with my book for women's ministry too. It has been very helpful at getting a timeline on Bible events and will be a sort of foundation upon which I will build on in my further studies. I am very interested in studying the Bible so I enjoyed it tremendously. I am continuing to read my inspirational book, The Darkness and the Dawn as I got side-tracked from it for a while.
We are having an easy dinner tonight...deli meat slices on hoagie rolls with dill pickles and whatever else we want on them. Very simple. I planned that because I wasn't sure how late I'd be running.
I bought a new bedspread the other day. Really like it. Here's a picture:

I bought it in the store but have now ordered curtains from the website and can't wait to get them and see whether they fit. We have a huge bed (very deep mattress)...you may remember I dropped the mattress after my dh came home from the hospital with his fractured leg. This mattress is very hard to find bedding for as it is so huge and it is heavy! I thought I'd die getting it dropped. Well to make this comforter fit we had to raise it back up but at least my dh was able to help me. I don't think I could have done it myself. I was grumbling as I really don't like the bed so high but we were both amazed at how it felt more comfortable! I don't know why ...just has the slats under it now..but it sure made a difference. It was comfortable even low but now it feels lighter, like floating on a cloud. I remember it was that way before but didn't realize it was the slats that made the difference. I do miss being able to easily sit on it and read or put my socks on etc., but I have a chair in the bedroom so I use it. We have to reach down a little to our bedside table but guess that's not the end of the world either.

While I had the bed all stripped I washed the mattress pad and old bedspread, which I think I'll donate.
Karen3 - Your treatment does sound painful! I'm glad you only have one more!
Well, I need to get some more done around here as it will soon be time to fix dinner. Have a good evening!
