hey ladies : )
I just got back from the beach and made an ice coffee and came to check in and saw all the posts, what a delight! What a day girls, 85 degrees and I am glad I took advantage of it. I kicked butt on the beach and got a great workout! I walked 25 min. and stopped for a few minutes to have some grapes and water and then continued walking for another hour. I kept a good even pace the whole time and walked in soft sand quite a ways! It was perfect as it was a nice change from my regular walk as the sand, etc. added diversity and I bet that was a good suprise to my bod. and revved up my metabolism. Boy, it was so beautiful........light winds and just beautiful. What a nice way to get exercise, lol : ).
pigginpodgey, right on : ) I was the same way in the past in the sense that if I had a bad day I would get so dicouraged or feel like I blew it and totally give up! ay ay ay! What an enormous difference it makes just getting right back to business and on track! way to go : )
Tracy? You had your dh get out the rolling pin and massage your thighs and calves? hahahahaha

Hi mamajones and welcome

I used to be a fanatic with the scale and it was not in my favor in the sense that my weight fluctuates quite a bit on a daily basis depending on what I ate, etc. When I started, i had dh hide the scale on me until weigh day. Maybe hubby can hide it for you?

Ray, was it your weigh day? or did you sneak a peak again? hon, I know it's easier said than done sometimes because that darn scale can be very frustrating but keep in mind (especially if short time within last weigh in) that it's natural for our bodies and the scale to go up and down that way, at least for me it's that way. I fluctuate a lot. I know your working hard, keep at it girl, that bugger scale will go down in time : ) Ray, whenever I am tired , I always feel a little blue and when I am rested I feel so good. I hope you catch up on your rest and though this may sound a bit contradictory to what I just said, a walk might help turn you around. It has worked for me this way on so many occassions. nosnah, a 1/2 lb. gain is pretty darn good in my opinion. I would call that a maintenance, which is super! If I let go of my healthy eating, I would gain like a rolling tumbleweed! lol I bet your being active helps tremendously. Nosnah, that is so neat that your doing the rowing regatta
