Hi girls.....well I wasn't so lucky afterall......my week long sore throat DID turn into a full blown strep throat!!! I finally went to the urgent care yesterday and was given antibiotics. On a positive note though.....DS IS HOME FROM COLLEGE!!!! I swear, he has grown and matured. Is that possible in only 3 weeks? hehe..... 3 weeks is a long time to be away from MOM!!!! He def. had a great time and now its back home, back to house rules etc etc.....I'm trying to let him have his 'independence' as well but after his all night party (no sleep at all) I did put my foot down and insist he get 4 hours sleep yesterday afternoon when we got back from the drive. Food and excercise has been almost non-existent all week but once these meds are over and my throat is not swollen and infected .....I'LL BE BACK!!!

i went out to feed the outside kitty and as i was
feeding her ... 2 little faces popped out from behind
her ... bright eyed and looking as if they were saying
HELLLLLLO what are you? one is long haired with a
little white face and gray patches... and the other
has bright blue eyes like mom and is beige!!!! i think
i can remember back when i had siamease kittens they
dont get the points till later do they??> so it may
turn out to be siamese!!!

Angel I'm so sorry you have Strep. I know how painful it is! I hope you get better soon.

Curly I think siamese do get their points later. I'm not sure how many weeks they start to show. The kittens do sound cute!. I'm still trying to get my two fosters adopted!

I had a deficit of 865 today. I did 40 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes weights. Both my gyms are closed tomorrow so maybe I'll do a video.

I didn't do to hot on my challenge either. I've totally lost it (for now- I'll get it back, I know I will).. Work sux- we're short handed and the owners feel that losing an employee is not sufficient reason to hire another. *I love my job....I love my job...I love my job* I just keep repeating that over and over to myself Lee is being a man and I'm ready to drop kick him to siberia. Oh yeah, I backed into his car and crunched the rear quarter panal pretty good- I'll be looking from now on when I back up... Things are just not gellin' in my life right now. Hopefully the moon will get back into orbit (or whatever it's gonna take), and things will normal out soon! OK Pity party is OVER! So......

Curly~ I hope you get the lil siamese you're hoping for. Sam sure is cute, altho we still can't get to close to him before he runs .

Val~ Your ticker just keeps going and going! ... So about those fosters, HOW do you do it??? lol.. first off I just get to attached to quickly, and second Clyde is a bully!! He outweighs these lil guys by about 15lbs, and he just picks on them. Annie is just an old lady and spits at them then goes into the back room but Clyde is aggressive to them. Guess he forgets he was the hungry stray at one time.

Angel~ I sure hope your meds have kicked in and you're feeling wayyy better. I had strep ONE time and it's something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy...(Hmmmmm maybe Lee? )

Speaking of meds, anyone heard anything from Petra? I sure hope everything is going rosey for her! Also, did you guys notice our thread starter is no longer TLB??? Anyone heard from her lately either? and just WHO is Louie?? Hmmmmmm, is a puzzlement

Anyways I hope everyone had a happy 4th (I figure theres a 4th of July in canada, even if it's not a big celebration - so I'm safe heheh). If anyone finds that missing mojo, can you please pass it around??

wow....easy there girl!!! Iwmonn, you sure have alot going on. The car? just an nuissance to get fixed, good thing you weren't hurt. To make you feel better, I once drove into our garage one time!! accidents happen. Tell Lee he better be nice to you, or I'll come visit!! And as for your 4th of July in Canada comment.....we have July 1st as Canada's Birthday, so that is our '4th' big party day with lots of celebrations, parades and fireworks. *sniff* I miss home, but we'll be going there in 3 weeks!!! well today I just forced myself to go to the gym. NO more if's ands or butt's!! hehe, pun intended.... I'm still on a few more days worth of meds for the strepthroat, but I really needed to get back into it with some COMMITTMENT!! Its sooo easy to 'not go' and then before you know it,,,,,,a few days roll into a week and then a month goes by and you think....WHAT THE?? I didn't do too badly either, I was a clock watcher but I know that'll change. So here's to a better day than yesterday....

Day #1 OP put to bed. It was no food after dinner but I did it!!! Forgot how many points were in a banana.....hehe. It felt good to be working out today. Here's to day #2.

My curves membership is up again and I'm thinking about quitting. I still like it but $40 a month seems so expensive compared to my other gym which is half the price!

Hey girls....just made it back from the gym and grocery shopping. I did a great elip. workout and then just for fun, I tried the room at the back of the gym which has all the 'curves' style equipment. That was neat, boy did it go by fast also. I did the circuit twice....and was dripping with sweat by the end. Yuck and yeah!!! As for grocery shopping, when did fruit get sooo expensive IN THE SUMMER??? Isn't it supposed to be that way in the off season? I did score in the chicken aisle though... Here I was, just looking at the nice plump chickens that normally run for $7.00 and saw some mismarked for only $1.80. WHAT THE???? okay, normally I would point this out to a clerk, but I ran straight to the checkout counter with my 5 whole plump (and yummy) chickens!!!! As you can see, I have no life and groceries are fun for me!!! so sad....

Hi Ladies ! I have been MIA forever... school is over now, I am back to work and I am trying to get back on plan.. but so far it isn't going that well.

Yes I had to change my screen name ..so no longer tlb. I use that name for other things and was starting to have some problems with email etc.... So now I am Louie

The group seems to be very small these days with just a few regular posters. Maybe it has something to do with the summer.. who knows

Anyhooo I hope to be around the boards more so I will try to pop in on a regular basis and see how the gang is doing.

Morning! :coffe: How's everyone today? I'm afraid our little group is dwindling down and down......until there was 3. Just so you know....I'm revved up and ready to go!!!

NEXT CHALLENGE PLUH-LEASE!!!! I decided to re-think and re-evaluate and then break down my 20 lbs or so into doable smaller goals of 5 lbs each. I would LOVE to be there quicker, but that doesn't seem to be happening, so.....why get frustrated? and since I'm getting healthier as a by product of better eating and excercising......why stress at it!!! I'm now alot healthier than I was 1 yr ago.....I'm now alot thinner than I was 1 yr ago.......and I'm alot happier than I was 1 yr ago!!!! Size 'whatever' is just a number smaller than a 'off the rack' Lg and 16 I wear now. So, I'll take whatever comes!!! I LOVE THESE REVELATIONS!!!! Have a great day.

Angel - You are doing so well.. only 26 lbs left to goal.. that is great !! I think you have a great attitude about it and the number on the scale isn't always the best determining factor..you feel better, your clothes fit better, and you have been exercising a ton. You should be very proud of yourself
