So just realized that I have been counting my steps completely wrong. Instead of 83 miles in January I have 202. I did my math wrong when calculating, makes a big difference.

Leslie Wendy, I am glad that is the case. I could not imagine the sort of pedometer you were using. I remember saying to myself, well she is 5,9, has a long stride....I don't understand!

In January, I did 124 miles. So in February to try and get a bit more or keep even I am trying to get on the treadmill Saturday and Sunday. I already did not make it today.
February 1 =14,135 - 7 miles

First Week = 21 miles - Had to get new pedometer this week. The other one did not count all my steps when I had an elastic waist band. I walked all the way around the top floor and the bottom floor of the mall, and twice around Macy's and around Penny's and it gave less than 500 steps, arghhh! Then it reset itself on Friday afternoon - when it already wasn't giving me all my steps and I had to begin over again around 4:00 pm.

For your steps and height, it really did have to be more than 83 miles. You must have a huge stride. I am also a bit envious that you live in California cause I'm thinking you must be able to get outside to walk year round? Eastern Oregon is nasty cold and windy for a solid 5 month period, so I have to create indoor exercise like circuits, dance and dvd's. Last year my original goal was 2013 miles in 2013. At your rate you will easily make 2014 miles in 2014. I may be inspired by you to increase my goal for the year. Step ON!
Thanks all, I didn't even think that I was calculating wrong until I was walking with a friend and we figured out what we walked and it didn't match what how I was dividing my steps from my armband.
It is nice to live in Northern California where there is mild winters, I shouldn't complain about being cold when it is 40 out. I do need everyone to do a rain dance for us as we are in a severe drought already.
55:1000. I went over my mother's for a week to work on a cat tree. Between the body aches of working and the fact my mother is a trigger, I fell of the wagon and fell off hard. I have gained 10 pounds since that visit. To make matters worse I hurt my ankle pretty bad transporting the cat tree to my house. The tiniest bit of walking is excruciating. I've been resting it hoping in a couple days it will be better and I can get back to my routine. I'm desperate for some exercise.
125.5 / 1000 I get my pedometer today in the mail so my miles will be higher now that I'm counting all my steps during the day. Since I'm a teacher I walk a lot
