  • After a weekend away and no scale and deciding not to let anything stop me, I weighed in at 155 this morning.

    However, I did get to go running again. I made 2 miles in 27:26 and it was my first run in several weeks because of my allergies. It felt good to get out and run and considering the hills on the trail, I think I did pretty good.

    Aiming to readjust my snacking habits this week (again). I want to go and buy hummus and a bunch of veggies because I'll eat just about anything if it has hummus on it.

    SO FRUSTRATED!!!!! I just need to throw a bit of a tantrum: WORKED to contain calories yesterday and kept cut off... but I had soup in the evening and drank water throughout the evening which apparently made me retain water b.c I did NOT just gain a pound overnight like that.

    SO FREAKING TEMPTED TO throw paint all over the canvas and eat my way into oblivion BUT am going to take a deep breath, draw a line, and move on.

    Alexis, I totally feel your pain! There is nothing worse than an "undeserved" gain, and it almost always sets me off on an eating frenzy -- which of course leads to a "deserved" gain and then it's all downhill from there. Good for you for handling it in a much better fashion!

    And welcome, SkinnyGirlTrapped (love that name)! Good goals!

    Bummed about this bump for many reasons, but particularly because I am going out tonight. Restaurant food is not going to help! It's all in my belly -- I'm super bloaty -- bleh! On top of that, my hip has been sore, hence no run for 2 days. I should probably rest it again today, but it's tempting to get out there and burn!

    I hope everyone else has a happier weigh-in than I did. Alexis, let's "hang in there" together!

    thesame ~I'm going out for restaurant food, too. Interestingly, most of the time it's not the actual restaurant that gets me, but the mindless grazing when I get home. My cals are already a bit high for the day (foolishly had a corn muffin for breakfast and entire avocado for lunch...) but all is NOT LOST!!!! Planning to make healthy choices for the rest of the day, get in some movement, hopefully a spot of yoga, and hopefully a good night of sleep.

    We can do this!!! Good choices = good weigh ins (it's inevitable).

    I am SO not motivated to exercise this week! And I didn't yesterday. I was busy doing some REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF, and really couldn't risk sweating.

    SO - I'm considering vacuuming the whole house today, and mopping it tomorrow. But now I'm wondering if I could...what is going on? Don't know why I'm in such a slump. Mentally I'm good, though. It's just that I don't feel like moving.

    BUT - I haven't NOT made weight in over a year, and that is pretty motivating. Hopefully that will propel me out of this chair in the next couple of hours, and I will MOP THIS HOUSE! I mean VACUUM THIS HOUSE!
