  • Good luck, Ab, and I hope you have the perfect moving weather!

Well, I am trying something new here on 3FC's 20-something forums. I'm signing up on the BiggestLoser thread, that should up my motivation level! It starts this sunday, the 23rd, and I am so ready,
  • Zanheltangia - Isn't it awesome to jump into a smaller pair of pants.

Abluvion - I have a Min Pin and she is my baby. I love the breed, but it's like breaking a horse trying to train them well at least with my pup. I needed a lot of patience and she needed a lot of exercise. It was an accomplishment to break her and made me feel proud. lol Sorry, but when people see Min Pin's they are like oh they are soooooo cute I want one for my purse. o.O Not my experiences with them. lol I agree with the small progress is better than none. Congrats on the scale moving downward and the pants feeling looser!

    Hi All!

AFM: I have had a few days of horrible eating, but since I ate so many points at once I was full for a while and only went over once. I was eating Chipotle and B Dubs.. Now however I am going to crack down again. I am resisting the urge to go to Chipotle, but I know the dress I bought was snug and I need to lose like 5 lbs to be comfortable. ( I know this is dangerous, planning for something that is not completely in your control) I'm taking the pup for a walk today a long one since it's beautiful here.
  • I just signed up last week. How much did most of you lose your first week?
  • Good luck with your move abluvion!! Hope it goes smoothly!

Zan, I'm doing BL challenge as well. I'm on Team Mango, how about you?

Lackie, everything seems easier when the weather is nice, don't you think? It really affects my mood. We reached 25 degrees or so yesterday and it was GORGEOUS! Well done with training your Min Pin, I'm not sure I'd have the patience, lol.

Hi stellar! I can't remember what I lost in my first week as it was aaaages ago now (years ago, I maintained for a while and am back now to lose the last ten pounds). But I would imagine 2-3lbs in the first week would be about right. Good luck!

Monkey World was fantastic yesterday. The weather was incredible, we took a picnic, played around on some wooden play equipment that wasn't being used by kids who seemed far more interested in the new climbing stuff, and generally had a great day out! Here's a picture of a golden-cheeked gibbon!

  • Freedomreins, I'm the team leader for the Lime Team,

And I'll be weighing in pretty late tonight unless I make it to my parents' scale and steal the laptop that I got my Dad for his Birthday/Father's day last year.

I say, Dad's are tough to shop for!
  • freedomreins- Monkey World sounds like it was lots of fun. Although monkeys are tricky creatures, I wouldn't get too close. Heard way too many stories from relatives.

Yesterday was a bit of a chore. I wasn't hungry and I had 8 points left. I know it's important to eat all the points so I found something and managed to get it down (had one point left over but I didn't feel like that would be a huge deal). Today I have the same feeling. I'm starting my period and I'm guessing that's the reason for the lack of appetite. I don't usually get more than cramps but there have been times when my appetite would throw me for a loop.
  • Rayosun - TOM does funny things to me as well. Sometimes I'm ravenously hungry and other times not.

Zan - Good luck with the challenge

My weigh-in this morning was good! I was down 0.8lbs and since I am nearing goal I'll take whatever I can get. It's been so hard to lose these last 10lbs! I ate bang on 35 flex points this week plus a few of my activity points.

    Have a great week guys!
  • That monkey reminds me of a song I heard on the radio this weekend. They were playing some older stuff.

Brass Monkey - that funky Monkey
    Brass Monkey - junkie
    That funky Monkey

I've never actually listened to the lyrics, but the chorus is catchy.
  • I have missed you all! Been trying to stay away cos I have so much uni work to get through. Have had a couple of good losses in the last couple of weeks. Happy Bex!!
I will be back to my regular posting self in a week and a half. Aghh.

Miss you all. Hope you're all well. Big hugs all round! xxxx
  • Howdy folks!

The move went well, I am in my new place and loving it. And loving my new roommate My cats are totally freaked out but they're coming around. Will take a lot of work to finish everything but i'm pretty pumped.

So yesterday it was a week since I've been OP, and I weighed myself even though I told myself I wouldn't til 2 weeks passed. In the 1st week I'm down 3.2 And this despite the weekend of eating out every meal! We did mexican, a pub, even IHOP - and I escaped with 3.2 down the very next day! I'm pretty thrilled with that. I wasn't counting points this weekend either, I just tried to make the best choices I could. And I guess it worked!

Well better get back to work. Swamped for the next couple of days but I'll try to check in. Hope everyone is well
  • Freedom - Thanks, she still has her days lol

Abluvion - Congrats on the moving going well and the 3.2 down this week!

AFM: I dropped 3 lbs and am now at 199.2 woot woot!
  • Glad the move went well, Ab.

, I hope the pile of work dwindles down for you, Bex. I keep wanting to sign back up for school, but I can't get that and work to fit in the same geographical area. It's either keep working at a nice pay until the time I have in my position is up or go to school and hopefully flip burgers. So, I am working on other things,
  • Bex - Well done with losing these last couple of weeks. I know uni work can be stressful!

Abluvion - I'm so glad you had a successful move and are enjoying it Amazing on the loss this week as well - well done!

Lackie - Congrats on the loss!

I went for coffee today with friends. We got iced drinks and went to sit on the grass since the weather was so nice. I got an 'indulgent' frescato from Costa and was SHOCKED to get home and find out it was 9.5 points, even though I asked the girl about the milk in it and she said the base was low fat. It was a chocolate one, so of course I expected it to be higher than the coffee ones, but not almost 4 times worse! Aaaah! Not happy. I'm going to London tomorrow and won't be home until Thursday so I have no idea what my points tallies are going to be like for the next couple days but going to do my best.

Hope you're all having a great week!
  • Congrats abluvion!

freedomreins -I hate when those point shockers happen, and it always seems to happen with dairy. But I usually have a block of cheese lying around for those days when I have points left over for that reason.

It's TOM for me so I am going to take that into account considering that the scale is up .02 pounds this week. Hoping next week will be the return to the weight decreases.

Yesterday was pretty horrible, I ate 6 points for breakfast and didn't eat anything else until 6 o'clock in the evening and I ate basically a bunch of steamed or roasted vegetables from whole foods (I felt too lazy to do anything at home). Technically besides the sweet potato and the baked plantains which were 3 points each, the other things were zero points each. So in weightwatchers eyes I didn't really eat much despite being fuller than I've ever been since being OP.

I need to plan my meals better next time.
  • That's about the time I break out the nuts, Rayosun. 23 almonds are 4 points, so that burns up quite a few points for a low volume (and no cooking/cleaning involved, yay!) those and sunflower seeds (already shelled), peanuts, etc. I can usually find nuts no problem when I am out and about. Gas stations, grocery stores, and those pharmacies on each corner (walgreens, CVS, etc), carry some sort of nut. I keep a little points calculator in my purse so I can use the nutrition facts on the package to figure out the points in the store, so no surprises.

I am with you on the points shock, freedomreins. I had a turkey sandwich from Panera down here in FL, and judging by the bread and sauce alone, I was hitting my WPA hard, owie! I am hoping for a maintain at WI tonight.

    Lackie! How does Onderland feel?
