Hi guys!
I was wondering what you would say about the whiskey. I did hear that it had no carbs since it isn't made with sugar, and since it's my favorite alcohol, I figured it's ok just once a month or so.
Mauvaisroux, how neat your DH is working on a cookbook. You sound like a very out going couple. DH and I are the opposite, we have a lot of friends, but we live in the country and not a lot of people come out here. We use to go visit them in the town he is from, but this last year or so, we've really been house bound. It's funny, we love being alone and love being together. I am really lucky.
Aleka, we spend a lot of time in the garage too. DH is restoring his old 49 Chevy truck and we are out there a lot. I don't do much, just supervise and sometimes put his tools away where he cann't find them.
Hi Anne and Jayaredee.
I have lost 9 pounds! I am so happy. At first I was gaining weight, so I was a little anxious about this woe. I am exercising everyday and really getting a handle on my thoughts. I believe the power of positive thinking (sounds like a book title, huh?) is so important in all aspects of your life. I've developed positive affirmations for myself that I repeat in the morning and the night. I feel I am moving towards those goals. I want to lose 100 lbs in a year and I know I can, now that I have the tools this woe has given me. It is hard to be patient, I want to be thin now. But I look on the ss website and see other people who were my weight a year ago and look at their weights now. I think if only I had started then, I would be there now. Well, like they say, the only thing you can't change is the past. I am looking forward to being one of those thinner people in a year and feeling healthy and strong. I already feel so much better, I can't believe the difference.
I don't know if we are going to go camping or not now. It's not just the weather-Rain, rain, rain. They found a sick bird in that area with west nile virus yesterday. It kind of puts a damper on going into the woods. I always use a lot of bug repellant, in fact you can smell it on me the next day. I haven't gotten a misquito bite in years. I guess we'll think about it a bit more now. I hate to give up our little trip, though. I could be bit in my yard too, I guess. We are outside a lot at night. I hope this misquito virus thing is somehow brought under control. Guess I'll leave it up to God.
Take care everyone, Nikki

How awsome is that!!
Your are right about DH and me we are always doing things together, with friends and family, I think I need and extra day off on the weekends just to recuperate
