Good Morning Peeps - Happy Friday!
We were out doing a few errands last night and stopped to get a bite. Up came the tornadoes - out of no where. The restaurant we were in was completely destroyed by a tornado 4 years ago in May. There was complete panic as many of the homes near by were also destroyed - it is a neighborhood place so I think many of them went running to their homes. We waited for the panic to clear with a plan to go under the table for safety. We were about 3 miles from home. On the way home a tornado touched down about 1/4 mile from where we were. Got home (no basement) and the winds came up again - 80 mph. Then about 2 am it all started again - police knocking on doors - take cover.
Gypsy is getting a hair cut today - need to do a before and after of her - I've thought if only I needed to get a haircut to have before/after. I will post some progress pics this weekend - I need to learn to get in front of the camera a little - I do find myself looking in the mirror more.
I'm tired - need to find more coffee.
Hugs,
Carol

I don't know how you cope with Tornadoes! We had a small earthquake (yes in the UK!!lol) & my husband nearly had a heart attack!!
I'm glad you are ok & got home safely, it must have been very scary for you both. Can you buy or build a shelter in your garden in case of tornadoes?xxxxxxx
You are supposed to look forward but at times like this, looking back at where you were is more important! I've been losing/gaining the same weight & it's my fault, you have worked hard & lost a lot of weight, NEARLY 100lbs, so FEEL PROUD,
that would certainly scare me awake for the rest of the night. We don't have police knocking on doors, we have tornado sirens, that go off incessantly during a tornado warning, along with all the dogs in the neighborhood, including mine. When the first siren went off today I was just out of the shower and in my bedroom naked prior to getting dressed. The first thought when I heard the siren was "Please God, don't let me be caught in a tornado with this fat body exposed. The world is just not ready for that."
I don't know how to express why this is such a milestone for me, but it really is. Now I'm ready to tackle the next 9 pounds with a vengeance to get me to 100 pounds lost.
and welcome to 2-town!!! Isn't it a great feeling? I know how I felt and it was like a great load off of my shoulders just to see a 2 in front of the other numbers. And 9 more for you to reach 100....that's just amazing.
Hi Peggy
Ratkitty!
Can't wait for you to report your official "whoosh"!
Your "Eye of the Tiger" comment made me laugh. I recently got a new Ipod and was downloading some songs to make some playlist for some walking workouts. I put that song in one of my workouts so I can try to get a little "Eye of the Tiger" myself.
