JC,
Since you're having trouble getting on track for food I hereby challenge you to a 1 week clean-eats challenge!
Starting tomorrow morning, you and I (should you agree, and anyone else who wants to for that matter) will post our daily menu's in a new thread.
Sound good?
First one to eat a cookie has to listen to hours and hours of Tony Little Infomercials! ahahahahah! *EG*
Anyone else up for this?
Tidey
Robin - glad to hear you survived the hurricane!
Just wanted to say that your signature quote really hit home with me today - in more ways than one. What it says is just what I need to hear right now, as I'm feeling a bit discouraged.
That and I have a bit of an Edison connection - I grew up in a town in Michigan where he spent time as a boy, and now I work for General Electric, the company he founded.
Thanks for that!
Cindy
Jennifa - just read your post on the exercise thread - do you really hula-hoop? Where on earth do you even find one to buy? This sounds like an ab exercise I might actually do!
Also loved your nod to the musicians that helped you - and I love Depeche Mode as well. One of my recent concert thrills was getting the opportunity to see them at Wembley in London in 2001. Was visiting my sister, who was living there at the time, and actually bought tickets to the sold-out show on eBay! It was great experience that I'd waited 20 years for!

Just a quick note.
Tidey, you're on for the Clean Eats challenge! Trouble for me is that I'm not quite sure what plan I'm on. I was on Atkins' and found it effective, but very hard to keep to 20g of carb a day- kept on muching on salad throughout. I can't seem to do moderation. Either I cut something out totally or have fairly liberal portions of it. Oh well...
Hey all,
OK I had my free day and boy was it free - I had a chocolate milkshake, the ice creamy kind with syrup swirled on the glass and lots of whipped cream...... I think I gained 5 pounds with that thing alone!!! I've decided I can have this thing once per quarter - i.e. once per challenge finished!
BFLcat, yes I really do hula hoop. The thing to keep in mind is you MUST get a big one. The smaller ones are for kids and even though I can go 10 minutes without dropping the thing I can't get the small ones going at all. Toy stores and stores like target and walmart have them, just get the big one. It took me about 2 weeks of trying to really get it so I could go and go, but it is really very fun and quite effective, too!! Cardio for your abs!
Also you might try bellydancing. That is not bad either!
Back on plan today even though I planned it for the 1st! Whatever... I'm taking it easy on workouts but sticking with the food, I can definitely feel the difference when I don't eat very well. So count me in on the clean eats challenge, I definitely need it!
Have a great weekend all, see you on the new thread....:
