    With CNN going in the background, and me not having watched or read any news since the night before, it took all my will to get on a machine that doesn't face the TV or have a TV, and then stay in the weight corner where, again, there is no TV

    60 minutes Stairmaster, resistance at nine, aerobic intervals, split between before & after strength training
    60 minutes back & biceps routine

    15 minutes elliptical, resistance at nine, backward, as a warmup
    30 minutes training session, a leg day, with barbell squats on the Smith machine, and leg machines that I've never used but have seen other people using. The hamstring machine interests me in particular.
    60 minutes back on the elliptical, resistance at nine, alternating backward & forward, random intervals

    Pulled something on my left shoulder -- I tried to do tricep dips unassisted in the captain's chair. Not a good idea. I've put ointment on it, held a bag of frozen peas on it and I've taken some ibuprofen.
