wow you're year sounds like a bit of a roller coaster.. glad for your son but sad to see him move out.. and then to loose your mum
. I love that you say that 15 pounds is going to fall off..
I bet it will too
Wow!! My summer pales in comparison to your year. I'm slowly adjusting to an empty house. DH drives a school bus and is gone most of the day. Mom used to live with us so our household was cut in half within a month. But on the bright side, I can exercise and walk whenever I want to now.

I've never used any kind of meal replacement shake but I found throwing a banana in the blender with skim milk, any extra fruit around and a handful of nuts or bran cereal used to really fill me up for the whole morning. That may not work for you if you are counting carbs but it was filling and satisfying for me.

My name is Liz and I am a 48yr old divorced mother living with my 82yr old mother as her primary caretaker while working full time at a major retailer in Florida in the back office.I am very busy most of the time, but I have decided that I want to devote more time to myself and get myself back into shape and lose the 25 pounds that I am overweight.
Hi Liz. I was my 92 year old mother's primary caretaker for 2 1/2 years. She passed away this summer. I'm wasn't working though and it was tough even then. I'm sure you'll do great getting back in shape and losing those extra 25 pounds.

Thank you so much.
Another good day under my belt. I need to eat more iron rich food as I just found out my ferritin level is low. Dr. will probably put me on supplements but I'd like to tweak my diet to include more iron rich foods. I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian so liver (((shudder))) is out. So as I'm counting calories I'm also trying to include the iron-rich foods. I'm finding out that if I want to eat healthy and lose weight I can't waste food on junk or I'll be missing out on the vitamins and minerals I need. I do take a multi-vitamin each day but I think the summer's junk food binge caught up on me--lots of calories and food but no vitamin or mineral quality.
And you can call me Isabella or retiredone.
Well, that's my story.
