PixieChix, I often eat supper quite late (9 or 10 pm) but I always have a snack as soon as I get home from work. A high fiber or high protein snack may help you control your intake at supper.
Hi, I recently joined! I just wanted to pop in to this part of the conversation. Do you guys find you still have success when eating more of your food at night? I barely have time in the day for meals, so I'll usually get about 1/3 or 1/2 of my calories in and then I'm free from about 8 until I go to sleep, which is around 2 or 3. I like to stop eating about 3 hours before bed, so that only makes my window about 4 hours long. Eating 2/3 of my calories in that small amount of time leaves me feeling pretty stuffed, even when I get to sleep, and I just feel like it's all sitting there in my stomach.
Personally, I think this is fine. It's like a mild form of Intermittant Fasting.
I think I've discovered a snack food I can live with for when I have evening snack attacks. I can have a handful of baby carrots for hardly any calories and they crunch and taste great.
Hi all. How is everybody doing on their plan today?
I had a good dinner last night. I ate 1/2 of a Kashi roasted vegetable pizza (very thin, whole grain crust) for ~375 calories and then had a cup of frozen mango chunks (they are really yummy when you let them thaw out a little so they are partly frozen/partly chewy...it's like having desert) for ~100. And I was full.
I'm sorry you aren't doing well. As Ange says, one good day on plan and you'll feel better about yourself and your goals! Let us know how your day goes.
Breakfast - Kashi bar
Lunch - Salad and smoked duck
Snack - apple and a cookie
Dinner - Vegan chili and french bread and a glass of wine
still it brought me to 1700 calories. Today will be good
Sorry I haven't checked in for a while... I've been off plan. Not too much. A meal here... a snack there. I've tried to avoid the biggies (processed food, sugar), but I admit that a little bit has crept back into my diet. I feel like a total failure, but I am determined to start anew tomorrow.
I also kind of went through this whole "awakening" thing when I realized that I spend/waste a lot of time blogging and such. So I dumped my blogs (well, most of them) and have been looking for positive way to spend my time. Aside from spending it with my kids, I think I am going to focus on making healthier meals for my family and getting more physical activity for me and the kids. I spend WAY too much time on my rear end. So hopefully, this will turn into a good thing for me.
Haven't posted for a while, because I messed up this weekend. But the last four days have been great. And I feel so much better for it! I like that saying, "Never look backward, always move forward." Thanks, girl81!
